Upon our check‑in, that Eastern‑European‑looking female receptionist claimed she could not find my booking. I had made the reservation via a third‑party platform and already paid in full; the issue was simply her failure to locate it. Not only was she incompetent, but her attitude was also poor, which immediately ruined my first impression of your hotel. Earlier in our Switzerland trip, we stayed at Novotel Genève Centre Geneva , where the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. By comparison, Novotel Zurich leaves much to be desired, and I would hesitate to stay here again.

The parking for the hotel did not allow us in - the gate closed down on us! Rung the bell and and was advised that the system detected the vehicle was too high for the underground parking/entrance. This was really strange as it was a standard X5 SUV. Anyway had to reverse out and find another parking lot and had to walk back 10 minutes carrying the luggage - not a pleasant experience when you are unfamiliar with the area. Then the lift system was strange! Kept on pressing the floor number but the lift did not move and eventually all the lights went out after a while causing us a bit of a panic. In the end we figured out that we had to scan the room key first for it to work. I have travelled a fair bit but not seen this system before! We were in room 332. Entering the room we were greeted with underlying odour as if someone had been sleeping there for a long time with windows closed. This made sense as there were in fact no windows for fresh air! There was a kettle and tea/coffee making items but no cups! There were two glass like containers but we were a family of 4. Then the toilet / bathroom set-up was also strange. The bathroom had a bath tubs well as a shower cubicle and was nice and clean and modern. However the toilet was completely separate with no sink to wash your hands - you had to come to the main bathroom for that! This was our first trip to Geneva so weren’t familiar with the surrounding area at all but found it less than ideal as there were many red-light bars with sex-worker looking people on streets around the hotel. Overall, not a good experience.

Cleanliness is especially important to us, and we are disappointed to hear that your accommodation did not fully reflect our usual standards. Regarding the lift system, swiping the key is very common in most hotels in the world and it is for the safety and security of our clients. Well located hotel with easy access to station, lake, restaurants etc. Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable no noise in the rooms and curtains blocked out light which meant a pleasant stay. Coffee in the room was only complementary on arrival which meant that this wasn't refilled during or stay and with 3 people in the room but only 2 suitable coffee pods for the whole stay this was offputting

I stayed at Novotel Genève Centre from August 11 to August 14, and I have to say that my first experience at this property was truly excellent. The location is absolutely amazing—very convenient for exploring Geneva and getting around the city. What really stood out, however, was the team. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay. As an Accor Diamond member, I was particularly pleased to be recognized and warmly welcomed by the team. I was very generously offered an upgrade to the highest room category, which made my stay even more special. The room with the terrace was fantastic: spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and the terrace added a wonderful extra touch, providing a pleasant place to relax and enjoy some quiet time after a day in Geneva. I usually stay at other Accor properties when I visit Geneva, so I was curious to discover Novotel Genève Centre for the first time. I can honestly say that this hotel is a winner. The combination of the excellent location, welcoming team, comfortable accommodation, and the recognition of Accor loyalty status make it a property I would happily return to. If I had to mention one small area for improvement, I would say that the climatization system could be a little more efficient. That said, it was perfectly acceptable and did not negatively affect my overall experience. A big thank you to the entire team for making my first stay such a pleasant one. I truly enjoyed my time here and will definitely consider Novotel Genève Centre among my preferred Accor options in Geneva. Highly recommended!

One week in Geneva. Room quiet and well air-conditioned. Buffet breakfast fine. WE were told there was a restaurant, but could not find it.
