We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the staff were amazing throughout our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very nice and thoroughly enjoyed, Overall, a fantastic experience and a hotel we would happily recommend.

Convenient location , shops , airport all very close. Very clean rooms , corridors & restaurant. Seems new or very well looked after. Great staff , special shout out to breakfast chef , housekeeping staff and tirelessly working reception team , festive season made it busier we could see but we were well looked after. Dental kit was available on request. Room had all we needed.

For a family stay mixed with business travel, the location and proximity to the airport was pretty helpful, while not being too far from the city centre either so getting to and from the meetings was not too cumbersome. The rooms are pretty clean, and the staff are super professional. We also managed to check in advance which was pretty important given our early arrival. All in all, it was a pretty pleasurable experience.

I absolutely love staying here normally and have done so with my partner, Lisa Gaywood (who used to live in Bouchet), for the past 18 years. However both last year, and even more so this year I found the experience disappointing. We booked the hotel several months ago and as usual put in our request (which we understand can not always be catered for) for our room, which is always a suite at the back overlooking the garden. However, on arrival (at 2pm check in time) there was a very nice young lady who had a piece of paper with room numbers and lots of crossing out who said that there was no room available yet. I asked what time check in was and she confirmed 2pm, which was the exact time we were there. She said she had no rooms at the back ready but after a while she said she could give us a family room at the back. She then asked for our passports to check in which I was surprised about as I had already checked in online to avoid the delay on arrival, which was frustrating. 20 minutes later we were given our room keys and asked not to touch the childrens bed at all which seemed very strange since we had paid for our room.. On entering our room we realised the childrens' bed took over from us having a sofa so I returned to reception and politely asked if we could have a sofa instead. I was told by a quite direct, mature lady that if I wanted a sofa I had to move to the front of the hotel. I replied that this is always a special occasion coming to the hotel and we wanted to be at the back of the hotel, as we have for the last 18 years. She then replied that if we wait until the morning, a sofa would be made up. I thanked her and explained that I used to live locally for many years and this meant a lot to me but she interrupted me and waved me off, saying 'yes, yes, we understand'. I was very embarrassed and just went back to my room, sad. I did feel sorry for the young lady working with her who was trying her best (and not getting much support from her older colleague). There were less nice touches this year too. No biscuits in the room and the paper coffee cups were not replaced after the first day. This is the only time that I have seriously thought about moving to another hotel. I recommend you to many of my uk friends who now stay with you and I sincerely hope I can continue to do so in the future. I just didn't feel special any more. Kind regards, Lisa Gaywood & Fran H.
