This is no longer a 4 star hotel. Recent cost cutting changes have eliminated evening meal service and room mini bar (now its self service microwaved meals from the lobby). I imagine the changes look good for the Mercure accountants, but did anyone ask the customers ?

Dear Noel, many thanks for your reply. We can understand, that not each guest agree with our change in a mordern F&B concept. Since January we have implemented the Kukimi concept with Asian, Indisch and local Food. Also , Salads ,wraps and sandwiches 7days /24 hours. Also we serve fresh made Pizzas in the hotelbar during the week in the evening. Since we have installed the shop, the amount of offered drinks increased from 7 out of the minibar, to about 30 several drinks, we offer in the shop. Also we reduced the prices for the drinks and food in respect, that we do not have the high cost of minibars , that are not used in the room. We have gain many positive feedback to this . Surtainly our bisto / hotelbar is opened during the week to offer service and beer , wine and other drinkt to our guests. best regards Stefan Rösl General Manager

Lobby/bar area extremely warm. Bedroom too warm even with A/C. Bar not open Sunday evening or upon our return from dinner Monday evening. Bar hours listed as open until 1am. These are all factors that I will consider when returning to the area.

Kricho Business - TripAdvisor review

This hotel feels a bit like a youth hostel. Very old and tired. You can get much better hotels, much newer for 5eur more but they book up quick so be organised to avoid mercure mediocracy. The good: - it’s near my office - free WiFi The bad: - check in desk is frosty and you don’t feel welcomed - old fashioned decor - tired rooms and super tired reception It was 105EUR, half the price of the other mercure and actually a lot cleaner than it’s more expensive cousin. I would really not want to stay again because it’s tired and the lack of customer service.

I like the hotel, the rooms are great and comfy. I was there for work so stayed very close to the client office. Was fine except no food at night apart from pizza or what you get from the fridge area and heat up in the microwave. Not sure if I missed that bit when booking but perhaps if I did not the hotel can make it clear about the food As I had no time to wander being in a very quiet area is OK but remember it is a business areas so limited evening activities as everyone goes home Nice staff, very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again but am forewarned and am ready for the food issues

I stayed at this Mercure Eschborn Sued twice - once in December and once in February. The hotel is located close to many offices in Eschborn and around 2 other Mercure hotels. At this Mercure branch, the food was really the best of all 3 hotels. When I arrived at the hotel the first time I got a room with 2 single beds even though I booked a room with a king bed. I went back to reception and they changed my room instantly, which was quite good cause otherwise, I would not have stayed there. Pros: - Really good breakfast with lots of vegetables and fruits, super crispy bacon which is very hard to find in hotels nowadays! - Delicious dinner, every single dish! Especially the Vienna Schnitzel. - Comfortable bed - Decent toiletries which are being refreshed daily (privilege) - Good minibar selection Cons: - The room was quite clean but rather small. - Tiny uncomfortable no-arm chair with a mini table wasn't very convenient to sit on. - Noise from the cleaning ladies at 7AM in the morning, banging the equipment and talk loudly... I did not want to wake up at that time after my long flight the night before. Overall this is a good hotel in Eschborn and I might return their once again.
