1. Stinky smell from the old carpet, worst stay in a German 4 star hotel ever 2. Aweful air conditioning system, didn't really work and with smells from the ventilation 3. the room key didn't work most of the time, even kept it away from any mobile phone or magnetic items, at least 5 times during my stay to queue in a long line for replacing a new room key entering my room; terrible 4. the parking lot ticket also went invalid many times resulting in asking for a new one from the reception, again time wasting, and the staffs mentioned "it's not our operated parking lot", sorry, I'm staying in your hotel, who cares this excuse?! 5 can't be worse management, that my collegue left his passport wallet in the room save, after checking out and left few hunderd kilometers away, he called Mercure landline and the staff asked for the save code then confirmed it was found, and confirmed it can be picked up days later after our biz trip finished and returned to Frankfurt, guess what? on the pick-up day we waited at the hotel reception for more than 1 hour, just because there was no record made from Mercure staff about this passport wallet, this ruined our schedule and especially everyone's mood Won't stay in this hotel ever and won't recommend anyone to suffer from all these above.

I was pretty disappointed with my stay. Upon arriving, I requested no cleaning service, and upon returning to my room, it was clearly visited by house keeping. I made the request again, and still unfortunately was rudely awaked by house keeping the following morning. When it happened the third morning, especially when I was sick with a cold, I made to make my own sign for the door to prevent house keeping from returning. The AC was horrendous. It made my room so stuffy and hot, I could barely sleep. I would have opened up my windows but I was on the ground floor which felt really unsafe and it was also extremely loud because the bar/patio was right outside my window. The wifi was terrible. Rarely, if ever worked which made it really challenging to get work done. The only thing that was good was breakfast.
