What went well Walking distance to NEMO, Artis Zoo and the Maritime Museum. Easy public transit access via trams and buses. Great canal and Amsterdam townhouse views. Helpful staff and good food. What didn't go well Virtually no soundproofing — the walls are so thin you may as well be sleeping outside. Rooms are small, amenities are limited, and the photos are considerably more flattering than the reality.

Stayed before and like the location. Check-in took too long; you either need a far more efficient process, or more people on duty to keep the queue down. Room wasn’t cleaned on the first morning, despite me leaving the sign out. Room was cleaned on the second morning, but no towels were left in the room. Leaving bags on the last morning and then collecting them again took too long. Again, that was due to a convoluted check-in process keeping your single colleague busy for at least ten minutes each time.

We needed a spoon to eat something in our room. You wouldn't give us one. Wow.

Upon arrival while enquiring about dropping bags off, it was mentioned about signing up to get early check-in instead. Happy to just leave the bags and after some internet issues, the assistant helping was very pushy in saying it's our fault that it's not loading and that we need to get our access code otherwise we can't check in. I told him that we'll come back later and we only wanted to drop our bags off anyway and that we're happy to pay to avoid spending more time refreshing a webpage, which was met with "No it's expensive just get the code and I can check you in." I decided to just leave and come back, which prompted "No I've checked you in already so I need the code but you can get the code later and bring it down." A very awkward and uncomfortable arrival, with the same person then serving me in the bar shortly after, blaming keg pressure or the glass on a poorly poured Stella which was all froth. Another colleague came over and pulled the pint no problem, it was disappointing considering the cost of the property to receive such poor service from the gentleman working around 1pm 08/04/26.

Staff were very helpful and couldn't do more but the rooms were shockingly dirty and the cleaning was absent in the days we stayed they visited once and the towels were poor quality
