Great location, very clean hotel. Buffet breakfast was good quality and great selection. Our room had a lovely view over the Chinese garden.

Great location, confusingly names, clean and sizey

First, they let me have a pen for free from their reception. Secondly, don't make my mistake and forget WHICH Novotel on Darling Harbour you booked at. I took all the effort of getting to one, only to find I had booked at the other. The staff either side were very kind and helpful despite my blunder. The room required the key to be inserted into the wall to activate the power which I'm never a fan of - just trust I'll turn my lights off. It does have an added bonus of making sure I take it with me though I've never had a problem with it before. The room and bathroom were clean and very chic. I did struggle with the pillows and falling asleep but I can't say for certain that was any fault other than my own. Lighting was perfect and I was able to read comfortably. The windows were very large to let plenty of light in with big block out curtains to stop it as needed. The TV came with chromecast built in and easy on-screen instructions to hook it up, so I was able to enjoy my favourite Netflix show while having a good comfortable read on the bed. The room came with typical amenities, tea, coffee, a kettle, mugs and such, shampoo, conditioner, soap etc as would be expected. The tea selection was superb though I am quite simple in my choices (Lady Grey, or Earl Grey if the Lady is away). The milk was a small Devondale carton which was far too much for one stay and they may benefit from smaller one-serve portions for those customers who are only having one or two night visits. Plenty of towels offered and a detachable shower head that did originally have a leak but after I put my thinking hat on I was able to tighten the attachment and away the leak went. Pressure was good and water suitably hot at the suitably right moment. Underneath and around the corner you'll find not quite the Darling Harbour strip, but something as useful with plenty of eateries and parks/water features. I enjoyed the Pumphouse for dinner at only a 30 second walk from the hotel lobby. Hotel offers fast checkout which is perfect if you're in a rush. Overall a great stay, nothing to be faulted upon other than the impossible task of giving all guests the same great views.
