Really enjoyed my time in Sydney, the ibis world square is really great for value, this time I came with the family, when booking the room staff were very helpful and accommodating, the room was just right for the 3 nights stay. I will however mention that you might need to rethink your shower as the drain was a little small and had a tendency to overflow out of the shower, maybe put a higher ridge where the shower door is. Also housekeeping didn't empty the rubbish bin. Other than that it was a really great stay, will always try to stay at this hotel when in Sydney.

Everything was very clean and the staff were polite. Had lots of issues with the key cards as well as setting up the room. Was worried about there being no exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Bad beds, bad aircon.

The good thing was that there was an iron. The bed was so sloppy with no support, plus a pillow top affair that kept sliding off - both my husband and I were in agonizing pain for our whole trip. Even the pillows collapsed into nothing under your head. The quilt was only sandwiched between two sheets, no cover, so as we both move a lot when we sleep, it was a bit of a disaster. The mugs had been 'cleaned' - still had tannin stains, so not done thoroughly. The toilet was so low that I had trouble with my damaged knees - heaven help anyone with real mobility issues. A tiny bathroom bench with a giant above-bench sink that took all the room... so there was only a couple of inches at each corner to place our things - not enough. I have been in better laid out and larger bathrooms in central Tokyo, so that will tell you. The walls. floors and doors were so thin, that it was ridiculous, the noise. The aircon was freezing on 24c, but boiling on 25c... and the louvres pointed straight at the bed. So there we were, using our shoes to reach up and adjust the louvres, every time we switched on the air con. There were other things wrong, but if I keep going it might sound like a complaint, so I'll stop.

The hotel is in a very good location. All attractions can be reached by foot, light rail, ferry or bus. We were 4 people sharing 1 room and it was a bit tight...

Arrived at Hotel before 2pm checkin. Advised that I would get a call when room ready. This did not happen. Advised reception twice that the room did not have any information on restaurant times or check out time. I was advised that there would be follow up, this did happen and we had to read the restaurat time in the lift. Breakfast not up to an acceptable standard and dining area dirty.

The ibis world square is in a great location, easily accessible by public transport. It is surrounded by cafes, bars, restaurantS and a major supermarket which is really convenient. Just down the street is a fantastic array of Thai grocers and sweet stores. The staff at ibis are very welcoming and helpful and the room while small, is very comfortable and the Hotel is excellent value for money!

Overnight stay in Sydney

The hotel was fine. I had booked online. Check in was quick and the staff friendly. Only one of the elevators seemed to be operating so was quite a long wait to get up to my room. Room was clean and tidy. Not much in the way of crockery or utensils in the room, just mugs and teaspoons, so nothing to eat off if you brought food back. Layout of the room meant the cupboard didn't open properly so the ironing board was not put away. The bathroom was clean but the drain in the shower was easy too small so it quickly flooded out of the cubicle into the main bathroom. Other than that the room was fine. It was pretty noisy at night from the pub next door until about 1am but not much the hotel can do about that, it's in the middle of the city after all. The elevator had a very loud bell on it which would have been annoying if guests were coming and going in the night. After checking out reception held my bags fire me until later that afternoon which was appreciated.

Convenient location. Rooms are small but ok if you do not have too much luggage. Breakfast is ok but luck's fresh vegetables, e.g. tomatoes.

- The room was so small the ironing board in it didn't fit the cupboard in the room. - The breakfast was good but 1 staff member just can't take care of the specific requests, table clearing after guests and writing down names/room numbers. -The staff in general was very kind and helpful at all times

My experience was pretty satisfying. The location of the hotel is pretty good. As a feedback i could share some points: 1. The entrance of the hotel is pretty compact. Doesn't give a feel that one has entered a decent hotel. 2. The room size is pretty small compared to other options in the same price range. 3. The bathrooms are also very small. Not really suitable for people with good built. 4. My room had an inner door which was probably connected to the next room. There were some noises i could hear from the other side though the door was locked. I am not sure why was i given such a room. 5. There's no complimentary mineral water provided which is very strange. Imagine a traveler coming from a long journey, checking-in to the hotel and probably the first thing he/she would look for would be drinking water. At least one bottle per day should be okay.

good hotel central to everything.annoyed at the handbasin because the water pipe intrudes over the handbasin itself making it difficult to wash your face etc.without spilling water onto floor.strange management approved such a basic plumbing floor.
