During our stay, we ordered a babyccino for our three-year-old daughter from the ground-floor café. The cup was labelled “babyccino”, so we had no reason to believe it was anything other than what we had ordered. Unfortunately, she was served coffee instead. We only discovered this after she had taken a sip and told us that it tasted strange. When we returned the drink, a staff member checked it and confirmed that it was coffee. What disappointed us most was the response once the mistake had been confirmed. We were offered a larger replacement babyccino, but no one asked whether our daughter was okay after consuming the coffee. At that point, our concern was not the size or value of a replacement drink, but our three-year-old daughter’s wellbeing. Our daughter was unusually restless and unable to have her usual afternoon nap that day. While we cannot say with certainty that this was caused by the coffee, it understandably added to our concern and affected the remainder of our day as a family. After I formally raised the incident, I appreciated the sincere response from the Front Office Supervisor and the subsequent apology from the café management. I was also advised that additional training and stronger order-checking procedures would be implemented, which I appreciate. However, it was not clear to me whether the learnings from this incident were being reviewed more broadly across the hotel’s Food & Beverage operations, rather than only within the café team. I was also concerned about what appeared to be a lack of a clear response or escalation process once the error was confirmed. Staff cannot necessarily know whether a young child may have a particular sensitivity or health consideration, so I believe it is important to have a clear protocol for responding when an unintended food or beverage is consumed by a child. Given that similar situations could potentially arise in other Food & Beverage outlets, I hope the hotel considers whether broader procedures are appropriate across its operations — not only for checking orders before they are served, but also for assessing the child’s wellbeing, appropriately escalating an incident, and responding with appropriate care when an error is identified. I appreciate the hotel’s response after I formally raised the matter. However, I remain very disappointed by how the incident was handled at the time, particularly the lack of appropriate concern for our daughter’s wellbeing. I sincerely hope the actions taken and the broader learnings from this incident help prevent another family from having a similar experience

The room was big and spacious. Overall had an enjoyable stay except for the last day. Asked for late checkout the night before. The trainee did not note it down even tho he mentioned it has already been updated. When I came back at 1140, couldn't tap the card. Went down to reception. The lady at the counter mentioned there was no note of this. I asked her to update my card. Went to the lift. The card was still not updated. Might be an issue with their card reader or something

I booked a corner room and twin for an overnight stay whilst attending gala next door. I had my son and elderly parents. Only 1 room was ready at checkin with the other 45mins after checkin time. I called twice for someone to come and help release the outer door and they never turned up.
