Overall we had a lovely stay, the hotel is in the heart of Darling Harbour making it easy to access restaurants, the train and ferry.
We were a little disappointed that the sauna wasn’t working, the pool was cold (stated it was 30 degrees on website it was not).

Good location, but that’s the only highlight. We’ve stayed a few times and experienced the same issues: the room not ready at check-in time, and there was no recognition of our Accor Diamond status at check-in or in the room. The hotel feels too busy for the staff to keep up, and the service falls short of expectations. We’ll choose another hotel for our next stay.

1. You asked in the pre check in link what’s the occasion, I mentioned it’s our anniversary, but nothing was done, then why ask.
2. I received a sms message saying it’s 30% off for guest in the hotel restaurant, we went, but was told no discount on public holidays,
why push the notification on a public holiday. I understand it’s in the sms, but still.
3 I requested a cot at around 3pm, had to follow up 1 or 2 hours later via app.

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Darling Harbour. Our corner room was spacious and had glass walls offering a stunning city view. The lounge staff were friendly and helpful, maintaining a professional attitude throughout.
We appreciated the welcome amenities provided by the management and the thoughtful personal message.
The only minor issue was the lack of bottled water in the room. While Sydney water is indeed one of the safest drinking waters globally, many guests prefer bottled water.
Overall, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

I have stayed at many hotels that were much cheaper and far from 5-star, and I have never encountered a 5-star hotel that didn’t offer complimentary green tea in the room. I was honestly very disappointed by this.
Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour has always been my favourite hotel in the city, and I have come to expect a certain level of service and attention to detail from a 5-star property. It may seem like a small detail, but these little comforts do make a difference, and I expected better.

My stay overall was good, comfortable and stafff were accommodating to my specific request for my partners birthday surprise.
Just a little feed back.
We requested for tap water to be sent to the room and waited almost 2 hours and it never arrived, my partner called reception 3 times before we fell asleep waiting for the water.
Usually when we stay, we are provided a comb aswell as part of amenities but there wasn’t one when I check the next morning while getting ready.

When I checked in with Brendan, he took a moment to ask the purpose of my visit. I explained that my goal was to relax have a few kid free days. Brendan provided a different room with a bath. It really added so much to my experience.

Deeply appreciate the warmth and polite team at Sofitel which made my birthday trip to Sydney a memorable one. Front desk was welcoming and upgraded my room upon request on gold membership, room service was friendly and fast despite night requests. Concierge was very helpful too, commendable team for providing 5 star professional service. Room was very spacious and clean with a luxurious bathroom facing darling harbour. We will stay with Sofitel again as you never disappoints :) pls keep up the graciousness 👍🏻
