We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour. Everything was great except for an error made by the reservations team that we do not know why this occured. I rang reservations 3 times and was promised an upgrade to an accesible room for my mother who uses a wheelchair and needs rails etc. We went to check in at Club Millesmie only to be told that this wasn't possible as another guest was already in there. We accepted another room and hotel credit of $75 as compensation and to be shifted to the accesible room the day after. Was quite inconvienient having to change rooms and the new room was not serviced properly or had amenities and no turndown service either. I had to request several things from the concierge through whatsapp. The airconditiong system also was terrible and both rooms not cool enough. Also, charging $89 per day for valet parking is far too expensive.

Only issue was check in process was very slow, got redirected to an ipad machine but that did not work so sent back to the line again. But not a major inconvenience.

I rang sofitel after having my booking cancelled so I rebooked for 2 double beds like last year staying with another staff member, when we got there they said only had 1 bed so had to sleep with staff member with a pillow in the centre. I asked if I could give work credit card number was not allowed so had to use my own credit card. Very unhappy with service we have been staying there every year for the trade fair. I won't be staying again

The hotel’s hardware facilities are good, but the service needs to be improved. My booking was a third-party one without member benefits. However, the receptionist made a mistake and directly asked me to check in at the lounge, which made me mistakenly think I could use the lounge service. As a result, I was charged for breakfast without prior notice. There seemed to be a problem with the air conditioner in the room. I asked the engineering staff to come and check at 10:30, but they arrived half an hour early and apparently entered the room directly without knocking. The hairdryer in the room and the ones in the changing room next to the 4th-floor swimming pool were also broken. Nevertheless, I would still like to thank the duty manager Lolita and her colleagues for solving the problems in a timely manner.
