I was charge a one night rate for early check in ($R500 real). In the past either they will charge me 1/2 the rate or complementary depending on the manager on duty. In addition, staff does not speak English and they are incompetent using payment terminal. I was charge double and when I asked why, they said that they need to review it with Finance Department and refuse to give the credit. I had to call my credit card company to start the dispute process.

The point of a bidet is for it to actually shoot water into you behind, but I experienced no water pressure and it became more of an inconvenience than anything else. Also, from the elevators to the room the smell in those hallways was very noticeable; I assumed it was the carpets, they smelled like dirty clothes that had been in the hamper for a few days... On a brighter note, the people were nice, breakfast was delicious, and the sushi at the restaurant was to die for.

The hotel is in serious need of a revamp. The rooms were outdated and not that clean. Upset by the lack of dental and shaving kit. The swimming pool wasn't great either. On the positive side, the interactions I had with the team was good.
