I was arriving with the dog late at mgt. first. The hotel literary locates two steps away from the train platform. It doesn’t affect your sleep though. lovely lady at the reception checked us in immediately and sent upstairs to the room in no time. It would be nice to have a waterfowl and a dog bed in the room though.

There is always a first time. This has been remarkable. To pay more, much more, than the rate displayed by the hotel itself is something that I was not expecting to happen and left me with the sour taste of having been scammed. Good location, right behind the train station.

We were looking for a 1 night stay around Zug and booked the Ibis in Baar, a "village" next to Zug to accumulate my Accor points. Location cannot be beat, it is literally across the road from where we alighted from the train from Zurich HB. Awesome !! Next awesome-ness came after check-in when the Manager (I think but forgot his name), spent much time and effort in suggesting where we could visit during the 24 hours we had, when he saw us "struggling". Much appreciated, especially when it booked cloudy that day and rained the next. The room was sufficiently comfortable. Although there was no kettle in the room, the person on duty at the eating area was obliging in providing a cup of hot water. Appreciated again, during the 5 degree weather. We planned to visit the markets since it was Sat and extension of checkout to 1pm was another point of appreciation. So all in all, will certainly come back should we be in the area again.
