Probably the worst Novotel hotel room I have seen

This hotel claims on its website to be a "first class hotel". That's really ridiculous, probably it's the worst Novotel hotel room I had to stay in my life. The rooms are totally run down. Everything is dirty: dirty carpets, dirty curtains, dirty bedsheets, dirty towels, dirty kettle, dirty windows. And even the toilet is dirty because they don't provide a toilet brush. The furnitures are damaged and heavily worn. I made the mistake to open the wardrobe: what a horrible smell! Disgusting. The bathroom is in the middle of the room, but there is no mirror in front of the sink. Strange. As an Accor Platinum Member I got a beautiful fruit bowl . Nice. But I didn't get any cutleries, I asked for it, but still never got it. Also strange. The day before arrival I sent them an email with a request. I didn't get any reply at all. The only thing I found okay was breakfast (which I got for free due to my membership). Staff at reception was okay. To summarise: such a bad Novotel in the heart of Australia's capital is a real disgrace for Accor. I think the hotel wasn't renovated for at least 20 years. I was so happy to spend only one night there.

The shower curtain was mouldy and the bathroom had an unpleasant odour otherwise the room was ok but looking tired. Needs a coat of paint

Was there for 4 nights for work. Got put in a disabled room 203 had bed bug bites in the morning. Major trouble with trying to order room service. Paid on the app but then said it was out of stock. Back and forth with reception and the kitchen for 40 minutes with no resolution. Money hasn’t been returned. Changed room and could hear the water pipes knocking on the wall whenever someone had a shower. No bed bugs room 237.

Quite costly for the real value received. Dirty and dusty room.

The hotel was quite costly for the actual value received. I expected much more, especially considering the price. I found there were other options offering more luxury and better amenities for less money. Additionally the room was very dirty and dusty, which was extremely disappointing. Overall, the experienced did not meet my expectation, especially at this price point.
