Ok but with some room for improvement

It was ok for a low budget hotel that should basically just provide a bed to sleep in, a toilet and a bath. The temperature regulation in the shower was very unstable and fluctuated between a bit too cold to scolding hot (I had to step out of the shower not to get burned) in cycles of around 10 seconds without being touched (room 219). I quite liked the varity available at the breakfast but would have wished it was opened a bit earlier as it delayed our traveling plans somehow that we could no drive sooner than 8 o'clock and still eat. I had to adjust the setpoint of the A/C as it was so loud thar I could sleep otherwise.

I appreciate the hotel concept ... maybe more comfortable toilet door. Some basic amenities like soap bars or shower gel or bath towels. Spare pillows. Room heating system very good.

It’s not bad and if I tell reception something they help. It’s a shame because two things I wasn’t happy with. The noise people make after 11pm until 5am (other guests) there is nothing anyone can do because receptionist is not 24 hours they only work certain hours. And the second thing I wasn’t happy with is the rooms . Either the heating or air con doesn’t work or the room doesn’t get cleaned properly and I hate it that they just make the bed and don’t change the bedding. If you pay for a hotel room you expect the bedding to be changed everyday and the floors to be cleaned properly . I always look under the bed and oh my not nice . But is this what to expect from a budget hotel ? Cleanliness is the most important thing in any hotel. The cleaners need more training sorry but is true other than these two things is ok plus I do think they need staff 24/7 not just certain hours especially for hotel security

I usualy book a simple budget hotel to just get 7-8 hours sleep and to be able to work a bit on laptop during a road trip in Europe. Thus all I look for is a bed in a quite room, a desk + chair (and Wifi). Unfortunately, for a second time, I was unsatisfied with IBIS Budget in France. The newly renovated room had no workdesk and no chair at all. I cannot work on a bed, nowhere to sit. And, there was no 'don't disturb' sign available in the room. I arrived far after midnight, was in bed after 3am, and was woken up before 9am by the cleaning service knocking all doors. I could not sleep anymore since the ladies made a lot of noice (chatting, screaming to each other) on the corridor. Thus, all in all, this booking was not worth the money. I couldn't sleep enough, and I couldn't sit and work. IBIS: Please put always a chair and desk in rooms, teach your staff to be quite in corridors, make sure the 'don't disturn sign' is available in the room.
