I booked a room for myslef and my 3 little kids kids, and it was absolutely horrible! The entire room reeked of stale cigarette smoke—it was disgusting and completely unacceptable. The smell was so strong that it made the room uninhabitable. How is this even allowed? I expected a clean, comfortable space, but instead, I got a room that smelled like an ashtray. My kids couldn’t even stay there comfortably. The hotel clearly doesn’t care about proper cleaning or guest satisfaction. Never staying here again, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and avoid this disaster!

Decent hotel for a stopover, but poorly connected with city

Hotel was comfortable, with the bonus of free parking on site. Our ground floor room had cars parked right outside the window, so we felt the need to have the blind down all the time. La Vigie is a new out-of-town development. There is a decent new restaurant, Il Ristorante, nearby - the informal cut-through just after the B&B Hotel will save a few minutes if on foot - but otherwise it's mainly a commercial estate. There is a train station near the restaurant which got us part way into the city before having to change (to a bus!); returning home by train seemed even harder and we found no direct connection. Tram + bus proved the better option, one ticket covers both for an hour. None of this is the fault of the hotel - indeed, had we asked we might have been given better instructions. I guess if you just want a quick overnight stopover before getting back on the road, as we have often done ourselves, this place will suit you fine.

Just one train station from Strasbourg main station (approx 5 minutes travel time), the room is very small for 3 people, but has everything - shower, toilet, basin, TV. The bed was not perfect - uneven surfaces (probably smth was broken inside), otherwise very good conditions for the price. The breakfast was great for the price, coffee, juice, croissants, cornflakes, etc. It was a bit crowded for breakfast, but still fine.
