Location wise it was very good. However the quality of hotel and the breakfast was really bad.

As a gold member i did not receive any voucher for the welcome drink the window in my room was opened when i entered making the room COLD (outside there was snow and it was around 23:30 so you can imagine the temperature…) and toilettes in my room were dirty!! Worst than a welcome like this one I could not expect.

This is clearly not the welcome we aim to offer. Regarding the welcome drink, I would like to clarify that it is now available directly via the ALL Accor application, rather than as a paper voucher. I regret if this information was not clearly explained upon your arrival, which may have caused confusion. We will make sure our teams communicate this more clearly going forward. Arriving late in the evening to a room with an open window, particularly in winter conditions, resulting in a cold room, is not acceptable. I also sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issue in the bathroom. These points do not reflect our standards and have been shared with the relevant teams for immediate corrective action. Your loyalty to the brand is important to us, and I fully understand your frustration given the circumstances. We had an unpleasant stay, as much as I love Mercure and am a regular customer. This time was awful. We decided to visit the Christmas market at Strasbourg, and as Mercure lovers, we picked it again. When we entered, the lady at reception was not very welcoming and didn't provide us proper information (for example, the breakfast time). Fortunately, a friendly staff member at the breakfast reception the next morning informed us that the hours were different for that day, welcomed us, and provided the necessary information. When we entered our room, we felt slightly cold. Later, we noticed that one of the radiators wasn't working at all. This was certainly not a welcoming experience for a couple with two small children. We reported it, and later the lady gave us a small electric radiator, but the room was big and difficult to warm to a satisfactory level, especially when you exit the room and the electricity goes off. However, that was not the only issue we encountered. We discovered a soiled shower, a hair on the floor, and a partially blocked drain, which was disgusting. It was difficult to experience when you arrive with a Christmas mood. However, we won't stay here again and do not recommend it.

I sincerely regret the lack of warmth at your arrival and the unclear information provided, notably regarding breakfast hours. A stay should begin with reassurance and care, and it is clear that we failed in this regard. I am, however, grateful that you mentioned the kindness and professionalism of one of our team members the following morning. The heating issues you experienced are unacceptable. Discovering a cold room, with a radiator out of order in winter, is simply not acceptable. While a temporary solution was provided, it is evident that it did not offer the comfort your family deserved, and I fully understand how unsettling this situation must have been. I am also deeply sorry about the condition of the bathroom. The cleanliness issues you describe do not reflect our standards and should never have occurred. I understand how unpleasant and shocking this must have been, especially during the holiday period. I fully understand your disappointment and your decision not to return or recommend our hotel. Your feedback highlights serious shortcomings that we must address without delay. If you are willing, I would truly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly in order to better understand what happened and to provide a more personal and appropriate response. Very old building with mold around the room, not safe

Nice hotel in a nice location. Conveniently located to main roads to explore the Strasbourg and surrounding area. Negative is that the restaurant is not available on weekends.
