It’s a while since I’ve stayed in a F1 but remember them as basic no frills hotels that offer a good nights sleep in well maintained premises. This F1 fails on all points, desperately needs a makeover as well as new management that realise a good nights sleep is the absolute one thing they need to get right. First of all, this F1s fittings and furniture were well worn with several toilets and showers that are either out of order or in need of repair. I had to pay €1.50 for a towel. The price isn’t a big deal but it was small and low quality. I’m fairly sure I wasn’t made aware of this when booking, if I had been I could have opted to bring my own. However the worst part of this stay was the very noisy cleaning of communal areas that took place in the early hours of the morning. Around 1.00am someone was outside in the corridor for 30minutes I’d guess sweeping & mopping but hitting every hard surface available. Then at 4.30am I was woken by further loud noises down the corridor and when I went to the toilet found a staff member washing out the plastic shower modules with a high power hose. When I challenged him about the noise he explained he had to clean the showers and carried on regardless. Just because this is no frills accommodation doesn’t make it ok to engage in cleaning when guests are trying to sleep. I generally only use F1s when I need basic accommodation for a sleep on a long road trip. Very loud overnight cleaning defeats the whole purpose of this selling point. Finally, the €5 breakfast was just about adequate, but I wouldn’t choose it again - I’d go to the Aldi next door where I’d get much better quality food for the same or less. Basic is fine for the price I paid but I can’t believe Accor put their name to such a poor guest experience.

Regarding the cleaning of the shared sanitary facilities, the night staff must effectively clean the cabins since there is a lot of traffic during the day and in the evening. Night is the time when cleaning is done thoroughly. We understand that this may have bothered you even though you were in a room at the end of the hallway. For breakfast we offer an all-you-can-eat buffet with a wide choice compared to the price, we are also the cheapest compared to other hotels Please know that we take your comments seriously and will do what is necessary.
