I’ve been staying at this hotel regularly for almost 15 years. Friendly staff, good location for business travel a short walk to Gare de Lyon. It has everything you need. If you are a tourist then something in the 4th, 5th, 6th may suit you better, but for me this offers the best trade off of location and access to the non-touristy “real” Paris of the 11th and 12th.

We enjoyed our stay at ibis Paris Gare de Lyon Ledru Rollin 12ème. Our main disappointment was the heat of the room and, while the room was supposed to have air conditioning, the controls in the room didn’t seem to be working. We opened the windows several times, but the street outside was very noisy and prevented us from sleeping.

Location is good for exploring the city by foot or public transport. Check in was easy, although mentioning that we had been ‘upgraded’ may have raised expectation too high. The room was a bit shabby, lacking modernity expected from previous Accor hotels m, and a few basics too. Staff were nice and friendly but not particularly helpful and missed a few keys bits of information at check in. Overall below par hotel on an otherwise excellent holiday.

Rooms are clean, good breakfast, very calm area imo (may during this particular season) close to metro stations. If I have to select my stay for the next time, I will definitely consider this location among top choices.
