I accidentally booked breakfast (a booking.com glitch). That happened in two hotels on my journey and the first just said "no problem", cancelled it and didn't charge me. This hotel, however, wouldn't do that. As it happened, although I had to pay for the breakfast, I never had any of it because the room was so ridiculously hot that at 4.00 am, we got up and left. The tower fan that was put in the room kept turning off and a fridge was blocking a part of the window, so it couldn't be opened. Shame really, because the room itself was very small but also very nice and absolutely adequate.
