The general areas of the hotel was nice, the staff very friendly and helpful, and importantly, as a silver All Accor member, they extended the 'free drink' privilege to everyone staying in the family room - something that I have always found irritating about ALL i.e. as I travelled with my family and book family rooms, why would the privilege only extend to me as the member? Maybe allow me to register multiple cards or permit all individuals under the same booking benefit from freebies - this should not be at manager discretion as the hotels located in France (in particular the novotel in Paris where one person approved drinks for the kids but this was revoked by the manager - to my embarrassment). The bed at Novotel Charleroi was dented and thr air conditioner was incredibly noisy, which led to a very disturbed sleep. As the staff were nice, my overall experience remains broadly positive.

The hotel has a very good location, friendly staff, and a clean room overall. However, there were a few minor issues: some stains on the carpet, a couple of stray hairs in the bathroom, no toilet brush available, and a bathroom sink that was almost clogged. Additionally, the room had no windows that could be opened, and the ventilation/air conditioning system was mediocre, making it feel a bit stuffy at times. That said, the bed covers and towels smelled fresh, and the room felt thoroughly cleaned despite these small details. Overall, a decent stay for those looking for a simple, no-frills experience.
