Obviously we were satisfied by our stay in this hotel, a peaceful place in the center of Charleroi where some streets and quarters are looking like a ghost city. The staff does its best to satisfy guests. It compensates some "particularities" we faced during our stay. The first one is the difficulty to reach the lobby from the underground parking. Only one lift is available from there, used by customers of the shopping mall. We had to wait a third journey before being able to jump in. In fact there are 4 lifts leaving the lobby but no one is used the same way. The architect looks to be a champion for making complicated what should be simple. Regarding the room, nice and large enough, we were surprised that it was an open-space with the bassin directly facing the bed. People in need of real privacy have to send their partners away while brushing teeth. After having used lots of hotel all over the world, I never experienced this. Luckily shower and toilet were separate, but not totally private. For some it can be curious and funny, for others more disappointing ... Last but not least, the restaurant was unexpectedly closed due to a private party. After our heavy day it was not what we could appreciate.

We arrived mid to late afternoon, and Nathan at the front desk immediately provided clear guidance on finding the proper area for parking. Upon checking in, we found our room had a very noticeable "dirty diaper" smell that was not due to poor housekeeping...the room was clean. Nathan personally checked on the room, and made all arrangements for getting us a new room. He even helped us move our luggage. In the midst of handling what appeared to be a heavier influx of new customers, he remained calm, collected and efficient in handling our situation. In short, Nathan provided outstanding customer service, ensuring we were completely happy.

For a 4 star hotel and for the price i paid, i expected a lot more.I would. Classify this hotel as a 2, barely 3 star experience.Dirty room, dirty floor, no slippers or bathrobe, when i asked at reception was told only for the suite or executive room.Breakfast dissapointing,felt like leftovers from previous day.I am upset i used my points for this experience.Would never go back to this hotel ever again
