My first stay at the ibis Styles Louvain-la-Neuve, and certainly not my last. The building is quite unique, with an almost school-like atmosphere. Its maze of corridors is fun to explore and very nicely decorated. My room was spacious and comfortable. I especially appreciated finding the air conditioning already running when I arrived on a very hot day. The bed was comfortable, the duvet wasn’t too thick, and I loved having access to the outdoor patio. The bar and its terrace are great places to enjoy something to eat or drink. Finally, a huge thank you to the very kind and welcoming staff, who made the stay even more enjoyable.

While the rooms were clean and we liked that the hotel was surrounded by nature, given the high temperatures outside, we were surprised to find out upon exploring our rooms that there was no A/C in our rooms, making the nights more troublesome.

Overall I was happy with the service and the room. Apart with the smoking policy at the Ibis Styles: People are not allowed to smoke in the room, but on the balcony. Every night I was bothered with smoke coming into my room. With temperatures like we have currently I like to have the window open during the night. But at the Ibis Syles I have to close the window/door and have the ventilator running. NOT GOOD! Is is not possible to have one wing of the hotel completely smoke free?

We chose the hotel for the location, as it is close to where we needed to go. Everything else was disappointing. Rooms small and outdated, no AC or mosquito nets, so either you die of heat stroke or by mosquito attack. And the worst was we had to break in one night as although advertised differently, there was no 24/7 reception or night pottier and even with our key cards the doors did not open at night. Thankfully the meeting room windows were open so we did not have to spend the night outdoors. Also when I asked for an amendment in the bill I never got a reply so all in all very disappointing experience.

The room after my arrival was not cleaned properly. Full garbage bin on balcony , garbage under the bed, dead moth in the wall . Damaged garbage in bathroom has broken lid .

The location was wonderful, with lush green surroundings yet conveniently near the city center. We enjoyed the breakfast and the gym. The only downside to our stay was the noisy group of conferencers that stood outside just below our window until late in the evening, which made it hard to get to sleep.

Very nice stay, as usual in this hotel. I would only recommend to avoid doing the vacuum cleaning in the breakfast area while the clients are eating. This was very noisy the two mornings we were there.
