Aero44 Hotel Charleroi Airport

I had chosen this hotel as it was described to have facilities that the Ibis Budget (close by) didn't have. e.g. fridge in the room, coffee/tea making facilities. However, on arrival after a long journey, I arrived at the room and it didn't have the fridge or tea making facilities. I was extremely tired after a long journey and I was only staying the night and leaving for an early flight the next morning, so I didn't see much point in bringing this up. However, the descriptions online should be updated to reflect the changes e.g. the fridges in the rooms have been removed to save energy costs. Which is understandable but there should be transparency to guests booking as I felt I had paid a bit extra for facilities that weren't there. That said, the receptionist and all the team that I met whilst at the hotel, were all so wonderful, professional and an asset to the hotel.

The hotel is very close to the airport. However, it is middle of nowhere, and there isn't any local supermarket or fast food corner within walking distance. The Charleroi-Sud train station is 10-15 minutes away by car from the hotel. The hotel is good if you wish to have a one-day or two-day stay near the hotel. Both receptionists during the day and night shifts were helpful. After our request, one on-duty manager was very kind to change our hotel room. One thumb down I will give is the food menu and housekeeping. It would be better if they added more cuisine to the menu; housekeeping is not excellent but satisfactory. Overall is a good hotel for a short trip. Thanks for reading.

Only 8 minutes away from airport by taxi. Comfortable accommodation

I was waiting 2 hours at the airport for taxi to take me to the hotel. It was hotel reception who send taxi and supposedly "it stucked". Another few hours at the hotel (I have no problem with that - I didn't ask fir early check-in) and nobody asked me to keep my luggage or anything. I took meal in restaurant and I realised that guy from the reception is swaying at me. I don't know if this is the way to contact customers. Strange. But I left my meal i came to reception and I even don't know what for because my room wasn't ready. So I said that I prefer to eat my meal till it is warm. I got room at exact time of check-in so hotel was on time. Once I've got the room I realised I've got standard one even I booked different, upgraded room. When I came to the reception guy knew exactly why I did came back. I said that I am tired and I really have no time to correct his mistakes. He said that he doesn't see problem. And it is easy to solve. Maybe yes - it is true but when you are tired traveller you prefer to things go smooth. What I didn't like is the attitude of the guy in reception - he was unhappy that I discovered he gave me room i didn't pay for. On top of that he said thst he told me that he changed the room. But he never did. His only question was if I travel alone and I answered that yes - I am alone. But this is not a reason to downgrade my stay plus if he decides to change my room he should also explain that I will get charge back as got cheaper room. I completely do not understand what really happened that day at the hotel but it was very unprofessional. At evening i met another person in reception and service was very pleasant and professional. Room was very nice and all was good and clean in the room. Thank you.
