As an Accor staff member, it is genuinely disappointing to see how the standard of service has declined. I booked a King Suite with city views 2–3 weeks in advance and specifically selected the room based on that description. I was allocated Room 327, which does not reflect what would reasonably be considered a “city view.” The room did not match what was advertised at the time of booking. Prior to arrival, I was asked to provide preferences, including: Higher floor Extra towels Air conditioning set to a lower temperature None of these requests were actioned or communicated as unavailable. If guest preferences cannot be accommodated, it would be more transparent not to request them in the first place. Additionally, no bathrobes were provided in the room, despite this being expected for the room category booked. I paid extra for this stay. Receiving a staff discount does not negate the expectation of service, nor should it deprioritise a booking. Staff rates are a recognised entitlement across Accor properties and should not result in reduced standards. As someone who works within the Accor network, this experience is particularly disappointing. The stay did not reflect the brand standards or consistency Accor is known for, what a shame. Breakfast team customer service was absolutely fantastic. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and reviewed, as the experience fell well below expectations.r
