There were communication problems with one of the people at the front desk concerning information about the bar on the lobby floor. It was made clear a day later that only credit cards were used or drinks were charged to the room. Vita, Vicktoria, and Mitzuki at the front desk were professional and welcoming. I didn’t like the bar tender handling my drink lime with her fingers and then dropping it in my drink, which shows me that ACCOR didn’t learn anything about COVID, bacteria or germs. The dry sauna had a dangerous loose board in it. How could the hotel NOT know this? The Manchu Picchu do not disturb door signs are very flimsy and kept falling off the door.

While I can understand facilities and infrastructure being dated, and even damaged in some cases, I can not understand paying $650 for a room where the bed and bath are covered in someone else’s hair, and there appears to be mould around the air vent, and in the bathroom. Either take that room out of service until renovated or drop the price. We paid significantly less to stay at the Pullman in Melbourne and it could not be faulted.

When we arrived I took my 5 year old to the lobby bathroom and they very unclean, no soap in any dispensers, bins overflowing, paper towel and toilet paper on the floor. This should have been my indication to leave. We paid for early check in which was advertised for 10am. We arrived just after 12:30 only to be advised that our room was not ready, they offered to waive the early check in fee and told us we could wait by the pool for 5-10 minutes while they got our room ready and someone would come and collect us. We ended up sitting up in the pool area for close to 30 minutes in the very hot sun with our two small children, the pool was very cloudy and the surrounds of the pool area were very outdated and unclean. We were unable to order any refreshments as the QR code sent us to a message on the site saying the bar and restaurant was closed. We ended up going back down to the lobby to find out what was happening with the room as our toddler needed a day sleep and the kids were getting very restless, we were given our keys and I had to go through the whole check in process yet again, despite already providing all of my details, my ID and card details. When the bar finally did open I was unable to order any refreshments for the children and was sent to a different cafe/bar section only to be told they were closed and we were made to feel like we were intruding. We ordered room service which was completely inedible, the children's "Chicken Tenders" resembled nothing close to chicken, the Ham and pineapple pizza was a hard dry disc which tasted like the ham was on the verge of turning bad and the Laksa was cold and tasted like it was out of a can. We did not eat any of our room service and decided to leave it all and go elsewhere for dinner. The quality of the food was so poor that we decided it was not worth the risk to attempt the breakfast we paid for so again we opted to go elsewhere. It seems as though they are understaffed and that the management just don't care. We chose to stay here as part of our daughter's 5th Birthday present and honestly I thoroughly regret making that decision.
