We spent two nights at the Pullman and overall had a pleasant experience. Upon check-in, we were happy to receive a room upgrade, which gave us extra room to accomodate our daughter staying on the second night only. The beds were great, the linens were clean, and housekeeping did a great job checking if we needed anything each day. The pool area was another highlight; beautifully designed, relaxing, and well-maintained. We spent a good amount of time there lounging and swimming. The only downside at the pool was the limited food service; we couldn’t order any snacks or meals poolside, and the bar only offered beer and seltzers. It would have been nice to have light bites or non-alcoholic options available without having to leave the hotel. Service throughout the hotel was generally very good, staff were friendly, responsive, and professional. When we encountered issues, they addressed them promptly. The main negatives centered on the bathroom amenities and design. The in-room toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap) were provided in wall-mounted dispensers, but they simply didn’t work properly. Several were stuck, on arrival, so we had to call housekeeping for replacements. They sent new ones quickly, which was appreciated, but even the replacements frequently jammed or dispensed very little product, making showering more frustrating than it should be. Additionally, the bath/shower combo had poor design elements: the floor of the bath creaked noticeably every time you stepped on it, which felt unstable, and the exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn't working. After every shower, the room became extremely steamy/foggy. We ended up having to use the hairdryer to defog the mirror just to get ready to go out, an unnecessary hassle. Despite these annoyances (mostly confined to the bathroom), we enjoyed our short stay thanks to the comfortable room, lovely pool, and attentive service. With a few practical fixes; like better-functioning dispensers, and a proper ventilation fan, the experience would be significantly improved.

Room and bathroom were very spacious which made me feel comfortable. Early checkin was also provided on 11AM which I did'nt expect at all. Hotel buffet was decent but a little bit lacked variety. Not many options for the restaurants around the hotel and you need to walk about 10-15 minutes to find the good restaurants.

During check-in Valentin gave me a hard time about not having the Allcor app on my phone and would not provide complimentary drink tickets and was refusing to provide my room key. I just wanted my room key after an extremely long day of travel and it took many minutes of back and forth to just get my room key. Housekeeping was a mess - I put the sign on my bed that indicated I did NOT want room service, which was ignored and I came back to housekeeping cleaning the room. Housekeeping also left behind cleaning materials when they left my room. When I pointed out the sign, I was told to just put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. So this is NOT environmentally friendly AND I was denied the 100 point bonus. The location of the hotel is great, I would not consider this a "5" star hotel but a "4" star hotel. Public transportation in Sydney is extremely easy to use and pervasive as well as world class, so I will definitely consider other hotels upon my next visit to Sydney.
