Thanks to the lovely chef who put himself out. Even though he was having to run reception, bookings etc etc He made us a wonderful evening meal. The breakfast was also first class - best I’ve had for ages.

We were disappointed by there only being a pizza available for evening meal. We also found out that a full restaurant menu was not available on Saturdays.

On checking in we were allocated a room that was already occupied meaning we walked in a lady in the room. The second room was not made up. The third room was above the entrance and meant we had a red glow coming in to the room all night. Then to top it off we had no hot water for showers. The breakfast was very nice but overall and a very disappointing experience

Staff excellent. Very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant evening meal also excellent, simple menu but everything was well presented and perfectly cooked. Clean room, good breakfast, absolutely nothing to fault. Great value for monet

We arrived at 3.30am, check in was speedy and friendly. Housekeeping knocked early but there was no do not disturb sign.

Ten minutes after booking a flexible rate I called to cancel it. Now I see I was charged for two nights.

Hotel has had basic refurbishement since our last visit but still some issues with flaking plaster etc. bathroom was much nicer. bed was comfortable as usual.

Room not suitable for 3 beds, had to climb oit thr end to get out. Shower very poor, could not increase height and temperature either hot or cold. Room extremely noisy from motorway even with windows closed. Staff were really nice.
