The bed was very comfortable in the one bedroom apartment. There was also a sofa bed which was good quality and the sofa itself was large and relaxing to lounge in. There was a coffee pod machine in the room which I really appreciated and various tea bags to select. Good water pressure on the top floor and a very easy to use AC system. Brilliant accommodation and cooking facilities in the one bedroom apartments.

We hadn't stayed at The Sebel Melbourne Flinders Lane for close to 10 years, and returning was a genuine pleasure. The rooms have been extensively renovated, and the modernisation is fantastic. Fresh, comfortable, and clearly well thought out. What struck us most is that despite the upgrade, the building hasn't lost its character. It still has that same magic and atmosphere that made it memorable in the first place. A great addition since our last stay is the on-site café, which is perfect for grabbing a coffee without stepping outside. Combined with the location, which is about as central as you can get in the Melbourne CBD, it remains, without question, the place to stay when visiting the city. Highly recommend, whether you're a returning guest or visiting for the first time.

My title “quietly satisfying” covers a multitude of aspects, like comfort, facilities, peace and location. There are ample bars and eateries within a very short walk and access to the public transport system to enable movement with ease around the Melbourne environment. The staff are never intrusive and no request is too much trouble. It’s easy to make a stay feel like a home away from home.
