Given our location and proximity to a significant number of restaurants/cafes, the F&B facilities were removed 5 years ago. Please note, we have an agreement with Cuffs Cafe (located next door) to discount purchases made by our members. There is a note in the lobby area that lists the discounts. Have stayed many times, with others and alone. This visit was just me. Firstly, I still miss the bath, especially in colder weather. The fridge had a very poor freezer, meaning the ice cream I purchased on the first day was soft - any frozen meals placed there would have been ruined. The temperature could not be regulated in the room. When I asked for someone to come to the room and show me what to do, I was told that was not an option. Instead, someone elsewhere in the building increased the temperature from 20 to 24.5 - I had asked for 22. In the following 24 hours it went back down to 20 - I gave up at that point.

I love this hotel ,stayed many times here ,the rooms are lovely,although this time I noticed things looking a bit tired,the dining area bench seat is badly in need of cleaning ,this won’t stop me from staying again ,the staff are lovely and it’s so close to train station shops and restaurants

During Covid we had plenty of time to go through the rooms. We steam cleaned all the kitchen benches and found that some marks were unable to be removed or that the fabric had worn in some rooms. We are expecting to have them all changed as part of the refurb due next year *fingers crossed*. I apologise for any inconvenience caused. This time staying at Sebel we had a long stay 6 nights....we liked the room 701 untill we constantly heard the elevator stopping and starting the entire day and into the night. We made inquiry with the front desk after three nights asking for some new sheets and towels to which we were told "no" were not untitled to any new sheets or towels unless we stay for 8 nights. This took us by surprise and left a dirty feeling about the place.... We felt this is unexceptable...and made us feel silly for even asking. We like the hotel as we have stayed there before and found it plesent.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Please note, servicing of rooms should have been explained to you during the initial presentation when you joined AVC. Every member has Cleaning Credits and one is used for every stay. If you are staying for 8 nights or more a second Cleaning Credit is used to service the room in the middle of the stay. I would recommend you talk to a Member Liaison in relation to this topic, as they will be able to explain it in more detail. I have had our Maintenance check Rm 701 for any lift noise, as we did not receive any feedback from other rooms. We have found that the noise is coming from the building next door. It appears that their lift motor room is at the same level. I am so sorry for the noise caused by the lift. We have requested that they have the lift serviced asap. I have stayed here a few times over the years and the apartments are in a good location and they are lovely looking rooms, our room 301 had a very dusty head board behind the bed, they are very high but a vacuum cleaner or extension duster could be used. The room also had a very musty, stale smell about it room deodorisers would stop this. Also the bin in the cupboard is horrible they are dirty and need a good scrub or be replaced. Even worse when all of the tea and coffee and the clean tea towels etc are right next to it. A real turn off for me.

Rooms were spacious, check in was easy and accommodated early check-in (12pm instead of 2pm), convenient location next to Flinders St Station. Not many perks for Platinum Accor members (gym closed on weekends, no Foxtel / limited premium channels, no complimentary breakfast or exec lounge).

Dear Valued Platinum Member, Thank you for letting us know about your recent stay with us. Please note, the Gym located in the basement is independently owned so unfortunately we do not control the opening hours. We do, however, have an agreement with The Novotel on Collins (500m walk from hotel) for our guests to use their Gym/Pool at any time. Standard Foxtel channels are available in all rooms. As we do not a Food & Beverage outlet on-site, we are unable to offer complimentary breakfast to our members. I am sorry if this was an inconvenience. We hope to see you again. This is a very nice apartment that is well positioned for a stay in Melbourne. Very clean with a good bed and all you need. Helpful staff.For a business trip it was ideal for one night but not having daily service and none of the usual hotel facilities and paying for the gym may not be ideal. However would highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

We came to Melbourne for the State of Origin at the MCG. The hotel was perfectly positioned to getting there via tram or walking. The lady at the front desk was a highlight. So friendly and such a good sport. The room we were allocated was a good size, comfy bed and good sized bathroom. We were very happy with our stay.

We stayed 2 nights in a standard room and then 5 nights in a Queen Suite. The standard room was small but decor, bed and bathroom were very good. The suite was much bigger with a lounge and kitchen and dinning room. Bed was lovely and the bathroom and shower were very good. Location of the hotel was handy to shops and eating places. We would stay again

Value for money but no room servicing during your stay. Staff very obliging .The only downside is their internet is not really up to par. slow and intermittent The appartments are fully equipped and very quiet and comfortable. 5 minutes from everything, transport restaurants and shopping. We will use this hotel again.
