It all started great , the lady at reception was welcoming - I even got a complimentary upgrade . However when I woke up the next morning There was a guy outside my window doing works on my balcony I was horrified , I had not closed the curtains , noise was loud and I had not been even informed . To make matters worse when I informed concierge they were not apologetic at all . The matter could have been completely avoided with a simple note under the door . And then there was breakfast - food was cold and really nothing exciting there

Gabrielle, I am so sorry that must have given you such a right and for that I am sorry. there should have been a letter in the room, it appears it was removed from the suite by housekeeping and not replaced. I was also disappointed to know that reception did not apologise, this is unacceptable. I also note your comments regarding the breakfast offering and the temperature of the food, I will personally follow this up with the team. Great stay but we stayed 2 nights and decided to stay 1 more and they wanted almost double the cost . We ended up across the road at the Mercure for less than half the cost. Which was great but a little disappointing from quay west . Stephen from the concierge was great and allowed us to keep our car at their car park which was very convenient and appreciated thank him for us .

My wife and I stayed for ten days to experience Melbourne. We found Quay Suites conveniently close to the city and Southbank. We had pre booked for Hamer Hall and several Melbourne restaurants and we had to use trams only twice. The river Yarra activities were entertaining from our balcony and the in-house restaurant service was very good. Over all a memorable stay.
