Demolition noise

Woken both mornings approx 7.30am with extremely loud demolition work outside our window!! No notification of this prior to booking. The noise continued all day. Very impersonal with the self check-in/check-out, no hello, have a nice day, goodbye etc. Great location and rooms were comfortable and clean.

Location was perfect. Staff were great. Room basic but comfortable. Downside was construction site right outside window. Early morning jackhammering made the late checkout for sleep in worthless.

I used the self check in service and it did not consider that company booking was made with separate credit card. Therefore I used my personal credit card. I immediately informed the service person and they informed me that charge would be reversed. I also confirmed this at checkout. However my personal credit card was double billed instead. I spoke to someone 1 week ago and they were going to correct this however it’s still not resolved. Very dissatisfied

Last time we stayed it was the Travelodge and bar a foyer upgrade nothing has changed. Our shower would blast hot water on a regular cycle. Housekeeping was basic washing only the coffee cups, refresh tea and make the bed. Wine and water glass not cleaned and all just left on the bench. Breakfast was pleasant. The hotel is perfectly located with access to the Arts Centre and a short stroll to the CBD. Located just off the river with all the food Southbank can offer. The Casino is a short walk. Good value but as they say you get what you pay for.
