I recently stayed at Ibis London Barking and unfortunately the experience did not live up to expectations. The approach to the hotel is quite unpleasant and not very inviting, which gives a poor first impression. The elevator also seemed to be in very poor condition—it felt like it was on its last legs, with a noticeable jolt every time it stopped at the first floor. Our room had two single beds, which were very small (around 80 cm wide) and not particularly comfortable to sleep on. Overall, the room setup felt basic and below what I expected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the breakfast. It was consistently poor on all three days. The bacon was extremely dry and hard—you couldn’t cut it, only break it. The pancakes were also hard, and to make matters worse, many of the cups were not properly clean when I went to get coffee. Overall, the hotel did not meet expectations. The staff were friendly, but I did not raise any complaints during my stay.
