The hotel should have informed me about the renovation works happening and the inconvenience of going to the Mall through the parking area. The staff overall were still good and hospitable but had I known beforehand about the renovations I would have planned my trip better.

i was late for breakfast with soem minutes. was suprised to be told "sorry your late for breakfast you cant have it"

Well, picture this.. you check into an almost non air conditioned reception lobby in the peak of Dubai heat after a long international flight from Africa, where the lady who checks you in almost floods you with only negatives.. ‘sir welcome, before I check you in I would like to inform you, our pool is under maintaince .. our gym is out of order & you will have to go to the Novotel by car to get a work out in; our connection to the mall is shut so you will have to walk out in 52 Deg C to enter the mall, we only have one restaurant running which also doubles as a smoking bar’ my reply is ‘ok what ever I just want to sleep…’ & she goes ‘ ofcourse sir, oh I forgot to mention that you will hear construction sounds & noise from 9 am to 6 Pm ‘ but sir the upside is I am giving you a brand new room … but because it is a brand new room with new appliances I will have to take a security deposit..’ !!!@&!? I am an Accor Gold member by the way ! … would you stay in a hotel like that ?
