Problems driving in and out of the car park. Room cold, had to ask for a heater. Lack of storage, even though we had an upgraded room. Cold in the breakfast room. Breakfast finished promptly at 10am. So the last entry time should be earlier than 10am. Food not always replenished. What happened to boiled eggs? Frying eggs does not work. Sorry not a 4*. Hard to find hotel in the dark. No laminated sign.

Our stay at the Hôtel Mercure Paris La Défense Grande Arche fulfilled all of our needs. The paid early check-in option is a huge help for those arriving in the morning after a long-haul flight. The room was comfortable and clean, and housekeeping was wonderful about cleaning each day around our schedule. We opted for the breakfast included rate, which was a great choice--the breakfast buffet offers make your own egg and pancake stations as well as an array of pastries, fruits, yogurt, grains, prepared hot options, and coffee. We loved that the hotel is located literally next door to the Nanterre Préfecture RER station; we were able to get into central Paris in ten minutes.

Located near the transport which makes easy to reach center of Paris. The room is comfortable and spacious. The negative points are the noise and vibrations from the RER that passing very frequently underground just under the hotel and makes the whole building vibrate. And the long waiting at the reception as there only 2 persons at the desk and often only one is working. Even if you have just a small question to ask sometimes you have to wait around half an hour. They have to take care of the 2 hotels: The hotel Mercure and the Residence Mercure. The persons at the desk are very kind and helpful.
