While the staff was very attentive, this trip the atmosphere seemed different. The last few times, I have always received a little welcome gift (candy) that was always a nice touch but this time I didn't receive one. When I asked if the policy had changed, one person said it all depends on the type of room you book but since I always book the same room type,, this did not seem accurate. Being a Gold member didn't seem to have any perks that are different from being Silver.

Please allow us to clarify that these small attentions (such as welcome candies) are indeed gestures meant to delight our guests, especially our loyal members like yourself, but unfortunately they cannot be guaranteed for every stay or extended to all guests at all times. They are offered as an added touch rather than a standard entitlement, and we regret if this was not clearly explained to you during your visit. As a Gold member, your status is very important to us, and we do make every effort to recognize it whenever possible. For example, we always try to assign you a room with a balcony, even though this feature is not guaranteed with the room category booked. We understand how much you appreciate it, and our team does its best to accommodate this preference at each stay, subject to availability. Regarding the body lotion, we would like to clarify that this amenity is provided only in our Privilege and Superior rooms. We apologize if this caused any disappointment and thank you for giving us the opportunity to clarify this point. I had a great time, the staff were really friendly a breakfast was not the best, but a good deal. The location is outstanding, in front of St Lazare station.
