How could you really have this property as an ACCOR. I chose to stay here because of my experience with the Fairmont Chicago, and this week, we have this experience. The Chicago Fairmont is a well run property, this Ibis was a poor room.

The location and the breakfast (freshly pressed orange juice, e.g.) were the best parts. But when you book an Ibis hotel you know in advance what you're getting. A roof over your head and an admittedly quite comfy bed and pillows in an otherwise soulless hotel. But the price is good and this was a part of Paris we didn't know at all – a real neighbourhood, free of tourists. That was nice. And it really isn't that far to walk into the city centre – whatever that is!
