The staff were very nice to talk to. The bed was rock hard so not the most comfortable to sleep on and the shower head could have done with a better clean. The room was a good size and location was very convenient so overall the stay was okay.

Location: near the metro which is good but the area itself is described as “animated” when I asked but in reality with all the adult shops it’s just a bit trashy for an international audience which is the purpose of the hotel- of course I sympathise that Accor doesn’t influence that and probably opens hotels based on footfall and proximity to landmarks/stations etc. At night all I could hear is the sound of drunk people shouting and smashing bottles on the ground so I woke up at 2am at night which isn’t great. So not quite the “privilege” room experience for a gold member as I was expecting. I recently stopped going to Accor hotels abroad because of the downgraded experience and used to be platinum so I’m 50/50 on staying with Accor. Staff: The staff were kind and helpful so a solid 10/10 on that part- Elyseveta was pretty quick in getting me my room so kudos to her and also the night staff who lent me a charger (she was great so I do want to also ensure that she gets credit). I’m sure the other staff are also great too. Room: It’s a clean place which is a pleasant surprise as this rates higher than the marriot bonvoy offerings (despite being titanium) and has been hard to find in France in my personal experience but my only issue is that I expect a dental kit regardless of status because this is basics. The cheap shower curtains felt a bit odd in the bathroom as I’d think there’d be a cubicle opposed to two sheets of plastic surrounding the shower which humoured me so I question whether this is a Mercure standard or an ibis standard considering I’m paying for premium. That said it was a clean bathroom so extra credit to the cleaning staff. Noise- great that I couldn’t hear the rooms next to me but outside noise is a problem which woke me up so that’s not the best experience- so again location affecting the hotel experience.
