I booked this hotel through Amex Fine Resorts and Hotels. The hotel itself is very quaint and lovely. It is certainly in a great location which is one of the reasons I selected it. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The room is well kept, however the functionality of the shower was a bit of a challenge because there was no shower door. Great aesthetic but not exactly practical with water all over the floor. Overall, I am pleased with the room. Rooms can be very noisy from street noise between the hours of 6-7am with trash pick up, even on Christmas morning. You will not sleep in on any day if your room faces the street. The mattresses are very firm!!! If you sleep on a plush mattress like I do, you will not sleep comfortably. I had to request additional pillows which didn’t help. Again, the staff tried to help but it didn’t help but with no success. The food choices were very limited at the cafe and Christmas Eve dinner was not good at all. Breakfast was pleasant. I really want to love this hotel because everyone was so nice but I can’t because I didn’t get a good night’s sleep and my back hurts.
