First time visiting this beautiful hotel for my Mum’s 70th birthday. Had originally booked The Windsor for the character of building yet changed my mind after reading reviews and wanted the best experience after the theatre for my Mum. Usually would stay at Crown. The Sofitel check in was excellent and room gorgeous. The walls are thin and I could hear the woman next door on her phone for hours. Rang reception at 1:10am to ask to be moved as I couldn’t sleep from the noise. Was offered ear plugs which is a ridiculous offer in a five star hotel. Was told the hotel was full and could not move. After reception called the lady I was able to sleep. Breakfast was brilliant and staff all lovely. Just very disappointed that I was able to hear neighbours clearly and this has not been my experience in other five star hotels. Glad that my Mum had the room in the floor above and had a good experience.

Comfortable room. Staff OK. Long term Accor member but no acknowledgment apart from vouchers and a small bar of chocolate handed over at check in. Room not serviced on first day. Will probably stay at another Accor hotel next visit.
