Overall, I had a good and comfortable stay. However, there was an incident that unfortunately affected my experience. While I was out for the day, staff mistakenly entered my room and left two suitcases belonging to unknown guests inside. When I returned and found the suitcases, I felt quite anxious and unsafe, as I was concerned that someone might enter my room again while I was trying to understand what had happened. I immediately reported it to reception and was understandably upset. By the time I returned later that evening, the suitcases had been removed. I also received a call from a member of management who apologised and kindly offered me complimentary breakfast, which I appreciated. I understand that mistakes can happen, and I appreciate how the hotel responded once the issue was raised. However, having someone access my room and leave another guest’s belongings inside did affect my sense of privacy and security. Unfortunately, it has left me hesitant about booking again, despite the rest of my stay being enjoyable.

Another fantastic stay, fantastic suite so well appointed. Easy check in and check out in the club lounge, Max was exceptional. Enjoyed the canapés and drinks as usual, had a great lunch at the Atrium Bar, food and wine was excellent. A wonderful stay to bring our 45th wedding anniversary adventure to a close.

Stayed in a “club” room. Was pretty disappointed with the standard given the cost of the room. With time limited use of the club facilities the value dropped further. We did appreciate the recognition by staff of our visit for our 29th wedding anniversary though.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted professionally, courteously and respectfully. I have stayed at several Sofitel Hotels around the country including overseas in the USA, and your hotel surpasses all of them. Even though I would expect all staff would undergo similar training and development, across the chain, there is something that is different about your staff in their approach to guests, no matter where you interact with them. The experiences we had is quite a few notches above the others. Whether the interactions were in the lift, the turndown service at night time, the breakfast buffet, or even when collecting our luggage from the concierge when departing, we thoroughly enjoyed all our conversations! Please pass on the best regards to all your staff, they should be incredibly proud they are part of an amazing Sofitel! Sadly, were only able to stay for a couple of days as we flew in from interstate to attend a funeral. Kindest regards

Perfect location at the top of Collins St with wonderful views from the rooms and very comfortable beds. Sadly, bathrooms not what I would expect in a luxury hotel - very tired decor and definitely don't appreciate standing in a curved bath to take a shower.
