Poor experience bars were over crowded and unable to get a spot to have a drink. Also some how some managed to gain access to my room whilst I was asleep very poor experience at this hotel. Reception area poorly designed it is over crowded and although staff were great there were not enough of them.

We found the street noise very loud in our room. Surprising being a new build. Bar unavailable for the two nights we were there without us being advised before or at check in. Rooftop closed. Staff were friendly though. Although took 3 requests and over an hour to have ice delivered to our room.

While I’m glad to hear you found our team friendly, the delay in having ice delivered—despite multiple requests—falls far below the level of service we aim to provide. Arrived early for an afternoon check in. Morning shift team didn't look like they wanted to be there. Was not helpful in finding somewhere to have a coffee/breakast and work. Went to restaurant and asked if I could have a coffee, small breakfast and was told it was buffet only. Again, not helpful. Ended up going across the road to the QT who were extremely accommodating and went over and above despite not being a hotel guest. I ended up having breakfast, lunch and drinks there while I worked and had meetings before checking in to Hyde that evening. Check-in in the evening was ok. Busy although the receptionist was very friendly and more helpful. Ended up booking 3 nights at the Ritz before flying out of Melb as I knew I'd be guaranteed better service and experience, as a preferred partner of Amex Travel.
