I'm sorry for the frustration you experienced when trying to book your return stay for the 2027 AFL Grand Final, particularly as you were able to arrange this with us at departure last year. The options provided by our Reception team are based on the rates available at the time of booking, and unfortunately, the prepaid non-refundable rate was the only option available at that time. I completely understand that this was disappointing when you were hoping for a more flexible option. The stay was okay except that my room was not serviced on Tuesday 22 September, though I left early and I put out the makeup sign (I am sure I had it the right way around - it was on the orange/ brown side , not the blue side). Also, I think you need to refurbish more of your bathrooms, as I find it a little difficult to climb into and out of the shower in the bath - it has a rail but I still find it difficult. I am not sure you have open showers without baths , in certain rooms, that I can ask as a preference

Convenient location. Friendly staff. But only one closet door in the room opened, cutlery drawer was dirty, booking for housekeeping was mentioned but no details about how to book. No amenities was also irritating, going back to reception each time you realise something that isn’t provided in the room is a bit of a nuisance. My stay was what I would expect from a budget chain like ibis but not from a mantra hotel.

The faulty wardrobe door and dirty cutlery drawer are disappointing, and we'll follow these up with our Maintenance and Housekeeping teams. We also apologise that the housekeeping booking process wasn't clearly explained and that you had to make repeated trips to reception for basic amenities. We understand how frustrating this would have been. Your comments about the standard you expected from Mantra are important to us, and we'll use your feedback to improve both our room presentation and communication with guests. The studio room needed modernising . The lift key was erratic to work
