Three wonderful nights here to enjoy the Australian Open tennis. Wonderful views, impeccable service, very comfortable room, spacious bathroom and a marvellous king-size bed. Even got the chance to have a nice chat with Jim Courier, who was also staying here, together with a number of players and supports. Really enjoyed the breakfasts, although I note another review mentions pancakes, which I didn't notice being available. Maybe next year I'll look a little more closely.

My stays at Sofitel Melbourne have consistently been exceptional. The hotel’s prime location and high standard of service are key reasons I continue to return, and my Platinum benefits have always been recognised, for which I am very appreciative. On this occasion, however, I experienced an issue at reception where my loyalty points and status rewards were incorrectly credited to another account. Unfortunately, the process to resolve this error has proven to be unexpectedly complex and remains ongoing. To date, it has been unclear who holds responsibility for resolving the matter, which has added to my frustration. The absence of a dedicated ALL office in Australia has further complicated the resolution process. I would appreciate clearer ownership of this issue and a timely correction to my account to reflect the benefits I am entitled to. I value my relationship with Sofitel and trust this matter can be resolved promptly and professionally. Kind regards,

Our third stay in this hotel in the last 6 months, the last being not so enjoyable. The location is perfect for our needs and the added bonus of the on sit parking makes it the perfect choice. Our last visit was very impersonal and you had to seek out any kind of 'service' from the staff. The room took a long time to check in and the windows on the more expensive 'King' room were dirty and the view was of a building next door. This time around the whole experience could not have been better. As well as being efficient and courteous, the check-in staff upgraded us to a suite and happily provided us with wonderful responses to any request. Room service was excellent, both for dinner with our guests and for our breakfast. Checking out was easy, and all in all we were VERY happy with our experience this time around and will certainly be back here next time we are in town. Thank you Sofitel and staff.
