Air conditioning was not working properly in my room and I was not informed of that issue upon receiving room keys. Seeing as there was a heatwave going on in Paris at the time, the whole point of booking a hotel was to sleep in a cool room. So I was surprised to see my room was not as cool as it should have been with a somewhat functional AC unit. I got three different explanations from reception staff, one being that some rooms have « better » air conditioning than others, and another one that the AC unit was in fact faulty in some rooms, including mine (201), which another receptionist then proceeded to deny. I tried to speak to the manager who refused to see me, with the pretext that he was busy doing a technical intervention in a room. He did not have the decency to come down and see me for 5 minutes, or to call me back for that matter. Honestly a very disappointing experience for a lifelong client of Ibis such as myself. Will probably not be staying at this hotel again.

Good stay overall but air conditioning in room 205 was sadly inefficient. I had to call the receptionist in the middle of the night as I was stifling. They brought a fan and helped me open the window which was stuck shut, but due to the heatwave this brought only limited relief. Our party had three rooms only one of which was ready at 1400 and the receptionist forgot to tell their colleague who took over at the end of their shift that I was waiting for the third room. So I had to sit in my relative’s room for 1 1/2 hours until I checked at reception and found the room was ready.

On the first night, June 24th, we discovered that the AC unit was producing a concerning amount of condensation and causing water to drip from the ceiling and pool up on the floor. We requested to switch rooms the next morning and were told that a technician would be called to fix it. When we returned from a long day in the record high temperature, we found that our AC unit now only blew hot air into our room. When we raised this second issue to the front desk, we were told that the hotel was fully booked and a room transfer was not possible. After a miserable nights sleep in a room where our only form of cooling was opening up the windows to the extremely warm summer air, we tried to troubleshoot with the unit to see if it just needed time to cool down by leaving it running for half a day with all of the windows and curtains closed. This only resulted in our room getting hotter than when we left it. After our failed experiment, we told the front desk that we needed a new room as working AC was promised to us in our booking and it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. We confirmed with the front desk that a room was available that evening and agreed to sort it out when we returned from a prior reservation we were already late for. When we got back just an hour later, we were told that room had been booked and we would have to endure another night in the same conditions. Only on our second to last night staying in the hotel were we finally moved to a new room with working AC and able to receive the full amenities that was promised to us in our booking of the hotel. In total, we spent 3 of our 5 nights in Ibis Paris Place d’Italie 13ème with a broken AC unit during a record breaking heatwave in Paris. We are requesting a refund through a direct bank deposit of the hotel fees for those 3 affected nights as compensation for the unpleasant experience we went through.

The room was nice and cool enough during the heatwave and there were no noise issues. The hotel is well located on a quiet side street near the metro and bus stations. I have to say I was disappointed with the hotel personnel. Most of them hardly said hello and they seemed to almost hate their work. The breakfast was not set up very well twice and there was this hotel worker who entered the hotel and was furious to see how everything was set up. She started sorting the breakfast display and was very rude to some of the customers who asked her something or were on her way. One afternoon I had a "do not disturb" sign at the door but still someone knocked on the door and wanted to know if I want the room to be cleaned or towels. Nice gesture but if I have a "do not disturb" sign on the door I really mean it. On my last day I went downstairs (floor -1) to the toilet and saw literally hundreds of ants on the corridor floor. I often stay at Ibis hotels in Paris and I have been quite happy with them. I won't be returning to this hotel though.

This is the worst place in Paris, here are a few reasons: - Air conditioning is a joke, doesn't work at all. - The bedroom smells like dirty socks. - The ventilation in the bathroom does not work. - The staff is rude. When I complained about the air conditioning, the guy asked me 'Where are you from?' - Breakfast eggs are done in the microwave.

The hotel offers a bed and a roof and that's it pretty much. I appreciated the cleanliness, the bathroom was clean and the bed as well. Room was dark, with little natural light, walls were a bit worn with scuff marks, there signs that the air conditioner had leaked on the wall, the shower cabin had a few dots of mold and no shelf to put my products on. Breakfast was typical for a bussines hotel, staff was friendly. A little bit expensive for what it offers, but again for a bussines trip is ok for me if it's clean, which it was.

The hotel’s location is very good. The neighborhood is quiet, very pretty, and atmospheric. However, the cheapest rooms are very small and cramped, with no extra amenities. Breakfast was monotonous, and there was a complete lack of vegetables. Also, the scrambled eggs and bacon weren't refilled once they ran out.

Not central, but still very well located, with many metro lines and restaurantes nearby. The room is clean, the beds are comfortable. Nevertheless, the room is extremely small and there is not many space to put our stuff. It is only recommendable for a short stay (few days).

On the day of check out, the person at the counter told us that we only had one day of breakfast included and that we had to pay for the others. Our reservation was fully paid in advance including breakfasts every day. It is not possible for this to happen, everything was in the system and I have proof of it in my booking confirmation. This should not happen, it was not a pleasant time. The person at the counter had Asian features, unfortunately I don't have his name.
