Review of Novotel Sharm El Sheikh

We stayed at this hotel recently, and overall the experience was positive, although there are a few things that could be improved. Cons: The service doesn’t quite match a 5-star level — the staff try their best, but sometimes lack attention to detail. When we first arrived, our room wasn’t clean, but the issue was quickly resolved, and we were moved to another one — thank you for that. Also, there can be queues for food, especially right after the restaurant opens, so it’s better to come a little later. Pros: The food is delicious — the variety isn’t huge, but everything is well-cooked and tasty. You’ll never go hungry here. The main reason to stay at this hotel is the amazing coral reef. It’s absolutely worth coming for. The lagoons are beautiful, and the snorkeling is just as good as in Ras Mohammed. I recommend going in the morning — and please don’t feed the fish to help preserve this natural beauty. The sandy entrance to the sea and the stunning reef perfectly explain why the hotel is always fully booked. Special thanks to Yaroslava — she was extremely helpful in resolving our room issue and showed great professionalism and care. Overall, we had a great stay, especially if your main goal is to enjoy the sea and the reef. There are some minor flaws, but they didn’t spoil our vacation.

We booked a room in the Palm Wing, but unfortunately, it turned out to be very misleading since there was no clear description that it would be located so far away from everything. We thought it would be fine as long as we could walk to the beach. The staff also informed us that we could use all the facilities on the other side, where the beach is located. However, we were surprised to learn that we had to pay extra at the restaurant there even though it served the exact same food as the restaurant on our side, just presented in a “fancier” way. In addition, the food quality was very poor. Some of the dinner dishes were even served again at breakfast the next day. The staff in our area were unfriendly and unhelpful, which made the experience even worse. Overall, I am very disappointed because this completely ruined the vacation I had planned and was looking forward to.

I've been to Novotel many times and enjoyed my stay. The service was excellent. The staff was professional and there was always Mr Salem Zahran at La Palma restaurant. He was really helpful and friendly. Once during our stay when my friend was sick, he was very supporting. He offered to deliver food for my friend to my room. Besides, he's very hardworking, easy to communicate and his English is very good. Now no one cares so much about the guests. I'm sorry to miss him there and really hope things will be better later on.

NOT THE SAME AS IT USED TO BE! We visited Novotel again, this time we didn't enjoy it so much. Not the same service we had at A. La Carte restaurant. There used to be one amazing guy, who was always given special service and was very funny person, so friendly, kind and ofcourse very professional. We used to went there several times just because he was there. Guaranteed an amazing meal! We miss Salem Zahran! They are still good but still not that good as before.
