I am writing to share my impressions of the holiday we made in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt Period: 03.09.2023 – 10.09.2023 Hotel: MOVENPICK RESORT SHARM EL SHEIKH Room: DELUXE ROOM PANORAMIC VIEW Nutrition: ALL INCLUSIVE As soon as we checked in, we were impressed by the look of the room. We paid for DELUXE ROOM PANORAMIC VIEW, which in my opinion we did not get. The room was more of a CLASSIC ROOM PARTIAL SEA VIEW /for reference photos/. On entering the room I walked barefoot, and my feet turned black. The room was "cleaned" every day, but the hygiene did not improve. The mirrors were stained and remained so until the end /for reference photos/. The balcony, in my opinion, is not clean at all this season /for reference photos/. The room was missing all the decorations on the walls /for reference photos/. The curtain was torn /for reference photo/. The window was taped from the inside /for reference photos/. In the bathroom, the toilet bowl and the magnifying mirror were placed crookedly /for reference photos/, and part of the lining was missing from the door /for reference photo/. In the hall, the suspended decorative ceiling was displaced and broken /for reference photo/. On the balcony, the railing was seriously dirty and chipped /for reference photo/. The table and chairs, which, in addition to being quite worn out /for your reference, photos/, were also very dirty. We had to wipe them with wet towels, which turned black. OVERALL THE ROOM WAS NOT BECOMING A 5 STAR HOTEL AT ALL NOR EVEN THE ONE WE PAID FOR. Half of the hotel was under renovation, which was ongoing even during our vacation /for reference, photo/. In all probability, that's why we didn't get the PANORAMIC VIEW we so desired and paid for. The offer stated: Meals - All inclusive - breakfast, lunch and dinner, intermediate meals. We have not seen intermediate meals, and if there were any at all, they were placed in such a way that the guests could not easily use them. The offer stated: The hotel complex offers 5 private beaches, sandy and a pier. Yes, that's right, but out of 4 beaches /sandy/, only 1 was working. Many of the doors to the communal toilets in the hotel did not close or lock. I CAN'T FAIL TO MENTION THAT THE STAFF AT THE RECEPTION, IN THE RESTAURANTS, BARS AND ON THE BEACH WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND RESPONSIVE.

Great experience for 3-week family vacations

We stayed at family villa with pool for 3 weeks here, and, I.mist admit, it was our best holiday experience in Egypt. Great entry to the sea, lots of fish (yet, please, mind the tide schedule, best experience is at low tide), very friendly and helpful staff, supportive management team. I would advise to thank the staff with some tips, it will definitely make both sides happier. We enjoyed the all inclusive package that is quite enough in terms of drinks and meals (including our favorite daily ice cream allowances), yet, I would advise to try extras as well - we ordered in room dining, special beverages, massage&spa, and everything was quite decent. Hotel taxi service is also quite good but a bit pricy. Special thanks for the airport transfer - we ordered it for arrival and departure and were quite satisfied with the setup and experience. As many mention, there as still ongoing repair works at the hotel, and they are quite extensive. Yet, it didn't bother us at all, everyone including toddler slept and rested well without any disturbance. I would like to leave special thanks to our great house keeper Mostafa who cleaned and maintained our villa for 3 weeks on a daily basis and addressed all our needs rapidly and catefully. We really hope to come back next year and see the renovated Movenpick resort becoming even a greater place for family vacations!

Beautiful Architecture, Service Improvements Needed: My Stay at Movenpick, Sharm

I stayed at Movenpick from 28th July to 2nd August and loved its beautiful Santorini-style architecture. Exploring different floors and places despite the intense heat was enjoyable. The design, from the restaurant to the beach, was impressive, offering everything one would expect from a 5-star resort. However, I faced some issues during my 4-day visit that I want to mention for the managers to take notice and address. Firstly, the hotel doesn't provide a shuttle service, making it inconvenient to reach the center of Naama Bay. The elevators often don't work properly, and they only go up to the 3rd floor, causing fatigue when staying on higher floors. Secondly, the hotel needs more staff who speak English fluently. I had to call multiple times for room service, and even then, they sometimes didn't understand my requests. Third, room service needs better training, as they entered our room without knocking, causing an uncomfortable situation. Additionally, certain facilities like scuba diving centre which are sourced out, need better regulation. Despite these issues, I had a lovely time overall and would consider visiting again if the problems are resolved.

We choose the same hotel second year in row for family vacation, not without reason. We're satisfied with premises, location, secure feeling we experience in the hotel compound, staff professionalism and food. The hotel itself constantly work on improvements, so we're looking forward to come once again in the upcoming seasons. This year, apart from the pure excellence we again felt from the restaurant staff, especially manager Hany and chef Fathallah (separately described in our TripAdvisor review), we would especially like to commend our valet Abdel Elah, who prepared our premises on daily basis with so much dedication and excellence, even have the time to prepare towel sculpture waiting for us everyday! Our youngest had that special moment on return to the room, always eager what Abdel Elah prepared to surprise and please us :) Finally, we must commend Mohamed Khamis from Scorpion team, for he is the one that organised our perfect boat excursion to Ras Mohamed, as one beautiful and well organised day on the water, with more than pleasant and professional crew of the Queen Thalia boat which brought us to the most beautiful underwater sightseeing places in the area.
