Smoking policy in hotel

Smoking policy issue I would like to express my serious disappointment regarding the smoking policy at this hotel. Smoking is allowed almost everywhere, including areas where children are present. I personally witnessed people smoking in zones that are clearly used by families and children, which is completely unacceptable. There are no clearly designated smoking areas, and as a result, non-smoking guests — especially families with children — are constantly exposed to cigarette smoke. This creates an unhealthy and uncomfortable environment and does not meet basic expectations of safety and respect. A hotel positioning itself as family-friendly should strictly separate smoking and non-smoking areas and enforce clear rules. I strongly believe this issue requires immediate attention and proper regulation. Until then, it is difficult to recommend this hotel to families or guests who value clean air and a healthy environment.

Today I went to Anjana Spa and I had a massage from Tanya. It was amazing. I’ve never felt more relaxed. She knew exactly what to do to release the tension all over my body. She got the knots out of my back and shoulders with ease. She’s GREAT!

We stayed as a family of 7, from ages 70 to 6. Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The food choices were endless, the entertainment was very good. Getting a table for 7 at a restaurant didn’t seem to much of an issue at all. The concierge was also very helpful as well. The lifeguard’s would help you find a spot for a sun bed with no issues every day. So much nicer than having to get up early for the fight for space. The snorkelling is amazing. Do not miss this at the end of the pier. Tip - I would take dollars instead of pounds to spend and tip. I was only slightly disappointed that our bedding was changed once a week only, as we were there for 2 weeks. We like fresh bedding every other day, this is a standard that is normal to us I thought, but that wasn’t the case here. We had to ask for our bedding to be changed in the second week and the response was but it was done a few days ago. The airport is a bit of a nightmare, but that’s not the hotels issue. Just more of an observation. Overall would definitely go back.

We had an amazing stay at this Rixos hotel and would gladly return. One of the highlights for us was the Aqua Lobby Bar – the atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant, and the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Mohamed & Mohamed (from house no. 33), Mohamed (from Veranda Restaurant) and Mariam, who truly elevated our experience. They have been attentive, professional, and always friendly, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The food and beverages throughout the hotel were of very high quality, far above what you would normally expect from a resort. Whether it was a coffee, a snack, or a cocktail, everything was consistently excellent and well presented. Traveling with kids, we were especially impressed by the Rixy Kids Club. It was absolutely amazing and offered a wide variety of activities from early morning until late in the day. The staff showed genuine care and interest in the wellbeing of the children, creating a safe, warm, and fun atmosphere. The facilities were modern and clean. A big plus is the kids’ pool located in the same area, which allows parents to relax nearby while the kids enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Overall, the combination of outstanding service, high-quality food and beverages, and an exceptional kids program made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommended for couples and families alike.
