I have stayed at the Novotel a couple of times over the past year for work, and although always clean, tidy, and great service, the beds are way too soft for me, and I've had close to no sleep during each stay. I've ended up with a sore back, and terrible fatigue. As I said, I can't fault the service, cleanliness, staff etc. But ohhhhhh the beds kill me!

pool was not available, dirty and no signage no staff advising, no one new anything. dirty corridors not a great experience as customer service. We only stayed one night and we hope next time will be better

Dear Isaam, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we do respectfully disagree with the comments regarding our team being unaccommodating. During your stay, our Duty Manager had several lengthy discussions with you regarding the concerns raised. At the time of your stay, the hotel was operating at full capacity and unfortunately we were unable to facilitate a room move. Despite this, our team did attempt to resolve the situation by offering compensation during your stay, which was declined. A discount for a future stay was then offered by the Duty Manager, which was accepted. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Novotel Wollongong and were genuinely blown away by the level of care and kindness shown by the staff. While checking in, I experienced a sudden low blood sugar episode and began feeling quite unwell. Alice at reception went far above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. She stayed with me to make sure I was okay, organised for the corner shop to be opened, and got me some jellybeans, which helped enormously. Her kindness and calm support meant so much to me and my family. A huge thank you also to Elle in the restaurant, who thoughtfully brought me a cup of honey to help raise my blood sugar. Her compassion and quick thinking were incredibly appreciated. There was also a very kind gentleman who assisted by taking our bags up to the room while I recovered, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Our in-room dining experience was exceptional. Sebastian was incredibly patient and generous with his time, carefully walking us through menu options to help accommodate a food allergy for another member of our group. Nothing was too much trouble. The customer service we received was honestly better than at any five-star hotel we have ever stayed in. Beyond the outstanding service, the room was excellent, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was beautifully stocked with a huge variety of options. We were exceptionally impressed with every aspect of our stay. Your staff are an absolute credit to the hotel, and we will most definitely be back.
