Dear Helen, Thank you for sharing such a detailed and candid review, and I’m pleased to hear you enjoyed the restaurant, lounge atmosphere, and the warmth of our team. With that said, I’m very sorry that the accommodation did not meet expectations. I understand your concerns regarding the room configuration and how it differed from what was advertised. While our room images are intended to represent the overall style and experience of the property, individual rooms can vary in layout and features, and I’m sorry this was not clearer prior to your stay. Your comments regarding safety in the bathroom are especially important. We should always ensure our rooms are both comfortable and suitable for all guests, and condition of the grout is not acceptable. I also appreciate your observations on presentation across the property. While we value the heritage charm, details such as maintenance and upkeep are critical, and it’s clear we need to be sharper in this area, these things matter. We are currently working with our design and development teams on future planning for the property, with a focus on improving room standards, functionality, and overall presentation. Dear Anthony, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I’m very sorry for the disappointment caused during your stay. I completely understand your frustration at not being able to access food or beverages, especially when this was not clearly communicated prior to your arrival. Information regarding our Sunday lunch and dinner opening time is shared online, and we do make every effort to contact guests in advance. Following your review, we have identified that these messages are not consistently reaching guests who book via Agoda, and we are currently reviewing this to ensure better communication moving forward. With that said, this does not change your experience you had, and I apologize that we did not set the right expectations ahead of your stay.
