Room 77 was so small that we could not both walk around the bed at the same time. The staff were friendly but the hotel is tired. There were even spiders and eaten insects in the lamp shade beside the fire place.

Rooms are very outdated, very noisy thin paper walls, meals were not at a great standard. Staff at breakfast were lovely, reception were not very helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the lounge area and relaxing by the "fire". The choice of wines were good as was the dining. Our bedroom had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was tight but otherwise we had a lovely time. Friendly, responsive staff.

We were looking forward to our stay however we were quite disappointed by a few things. An error was made with our booking and trying to navigate these changes was not simple. From calling the call centre, to reception plus emailing made it more difficult than it needed to be. Our room was located right next to reception and quite dated and not overly clean. Staff were also vacuuming at midnight as we were trying to g to sleep. Breakfast wasn’t great. There wasn’t enough food and the options were very bland. The grounds are beautiful but I believe the price doesn’t match the experience unfortunately.

We had a nice stay and found the room nice and clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was OK but staff struggled to keep food stocked and selection was limited.
