Great conference venue

We had our annual conference with the executive staff from my school at Pepper’s Craigieburn. I have been bringing staff here for more than ten years because we are always so well looked after, the environment is stunning and the food is amazing. This time was no exception and it allowed us to be incredibly productive.

wonderful staff and excellent surrounds

Short stay at Peppers for a function. A historic and beautiful building which I would imagine needs plenty of upkeep and this is evident in some areas. The function room was set up beautifully and the bar and lounge areas are a welcome addition with working fireplaces and comfortable lounges on a cold day. Staff working the function get a gold star, bar staff another. Breakfast was excellent and fresh, with many choices. I know pot holes are evident in every road in NSW Since all the rain but please get something in those holes at the entrance before someone looses and axle.

First time stay here in Bowral. Yes, the building is old and beautiful, tastefully decorated and maintained. Rooms are on the small side and walls paper thin but the outlook is so unique to other Accor properties. It’s not a place for our kids. Bed was super comfy and fridge was full of treats. Cheese platter and fruit platter with multitudes of bottled water and a snack box of sweets. I think it would be nice if the shared balcony had partitions but it’s not a deal-breaker. It’s nice to share the view with everyone even if you need to draw the curtains for privacy every now and then. Loads of Diamond recognition from staff. The shared spaces around the fire places are a nice touch not to mention the delicious farm fresh style buffet breakfast. Had one of the best steaks ever for dinner. The place is pricey but it’s a Southern Highlands experience.

The room was nice with a nice view and verandah. Very stuffy, even after turning heating down. The service at reception on arrival was not very welcoming or friendly. Could hear everything in the room next door when the young child awoke at 5.30am. Not a lot of sound barriers there.

Nice location for a wedding

Whilst we were very satisfied with your restaurant, it was not the same experience with the accommodation. It was very noisy with other guest closing doors loud until late at night and speaking loud in the corridors. After the heavy rain access to the parking was not good as full of potholes and mud.

Didn’t stay

When we arrived the wait at reception was 20 mins as there were two wedding parties booking in and only one person on reception . Our accomodation for one night was on the second level and up two flights of stairs and no lift. As my husband had emergency surgery on his shoulder for the removal of a melanoma the day before it was impossible to get suitcases to our room and under the circumstances cancelled our booking and told no refund . We then rang our accomodation in Canberra, the Mercure to see if we could come a day earlier and they were most accommodating.

We often stay at Craigieburn, although we hadn't been there for over a year due to COVID. As always we had a warm welcome from the GM, sparkling wine on arrival and offered a room upgrade. The hotel has warmth, charm and character. The restaurant meals were superb and we love sitting in the bar/lounge area next to the open fires. Our room had beautiful views over the share large balcony and golf course. The customer service is outstanding and we have always felt very welcomed. We look forward to our next stay.

Disappointed in Room/Bathroom and access - Very Good Food

We were disappointed with the room size (tiny) along with the bathroom. It was located on the third floor, very hard to access particularly for the elderly. The restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast and the staff were friendly and prpofessional.

Dear Ray Thank you for your feedback following your stay with us. I was sorry to read that you had found the location of your room inconvenient. I appreciate the challenge with the stairs and I am sorry that we were unable to allocate a room to better suit you lower down, as we were fully booked. Thank you for your positive feedback of the restaurant and the team with I have passed on and shared with them. Do let me know if you are planning a return visit so that I may ensure you are allocated a room on the ground floor. Kind regards Susie
