Quite Surprised with this Hotel

Having never stayed in an Ibis Budget Hotel, I was expecting to compare it to the old Formula One brand. As a basic hotel it was very comfortable, the bed was quite the surprise for comfort, and I had a great sleep. The only issue with the room furniture, I'd prefer a chair, rather than the stool provided, for back support. Two problems with the bathroom (which is much like a cruise ship bathroom) the shower had no shelf to hold toiletries (it was broken) and the light switch was also broken, with the switch pushed into the housing, but still worked. A huge bonus was the amount of power outlets in the room - a total of 6 plugs (5 in the room and 1 in the bathroom) and 2 USB charging points. I didn't have to unpack my powerboard. On the highway, but you could hardly hear the traffic. Of course with Covid restrictions, the dining room isn't available, but there are ample food outlets a short walk away, or use a food delivery service. Would stay here again,

Well located, servicing of room during 3 day stay seemed almost zero

The window was broken. It didn’t close probably. I was cold all night even with the air conditioner on. The air conditioner was old and not heating very quickly. I didn’t enjoy my night there.

My Mother always said if I didn’t have anything nice to say about something, then don’t say it. I therefore ignored the first request to make a comment. But I feel it is rude to not answer the second. So I will say the man on the desk was congenial and charming, and the room itself perfectly acceptable. But the excuse of “Covid” for just about everything else was not. An issue of paper bag with paper cups and miniature sachets just highlighted the fact there was not a cup, glass or plate, let alone any cutlery available. I felt I had entered a backpackers hotel. A hand towel could hardly be too difficult to provide. And we had to ask for two chairs to sit on. We were too late by 20 minutes for breakfast, but to see the coffee machine on the clean bench without any crockery to make ourselves a coffee prior leaving was all in all too much. So I’m afraid the “experience” of our stay was disappointing.

First room had Bodgey blinds, 2 Nd room I was offered , fridge did not work , froze all my food, no compensation was offered, second ( replacement fridge did the same , froze all the shopping I had brought, bed had no wheels to move it to make bed, bathroom had nowhere to put shower things, I returned to hospital after 2 days and asked the staff not to disturb me, the cleaner , New Zealand looking woman skinny and tattoos all ove her ,banged several times on mt door with and awe full way like ten times bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang , til I literally woke up, and answered, house cleaning, I said I do not need anything , I got up and complained to the manager and while I was heading to see the manager I saw the cleaner that was responsible and then She started Laughing with her other cleaner as though it was a joke I oonly Say one good thing that made my stay enjoyable was a staff member MICHEAL , he was the one person assisted me in every way, made sure I had anything available to me and did so in a beautifully profession manner The rest had no idea , how to manage a hotel the manager and his wife were rude and having thier child run around at times made it difficult to concentrate,

The window is broken, road noise was too load and couldnt stop it. Bathroom design is stupid, water everywhere when shower. Shower head is stupid.

The staff were extremely hospitable and helpful. Thanks to the general manager for the upgrade and ensuring that I got a room at ground level so I wouldn't lift my luggage up the stairs. Staff made sure I had arrangements for laundry and told me the benefits of being a member. I didn't know before. The facility was clean and comfortable.

the administration staff were very friendly and made you welcome each day. the house keeping staff went out of their way to make sure our room was clean and tidy. I would also like to thank the housekeeping staff on the 27th October who went our of their way to make sure we had enough toiletries. next time we are in Sydney we will be returning. thank you.
