The room itself was lovely and spacious and well presented. The beds were very comfortable. What let the room down was the bathroom, in particular the positioning of the taps in the shower- right at the back of the shower with a shower head that was on the ceiling and not able to be moved, so you had to get wet or even get in the shower to turn it on. Could have been fixed with taps being on side wall. There was also limited hanging space for towels - a very odd rack along the front of the Basin at waist height which wasn’t sufficient and towels draped on the floor, but two empty walls with plenty of room outside the shower cubicle which would have been ideal. It all felt clunky and hard for what otherwise was a lovely room. The buffet was great with a wide selection available. I was disappointed with the dinner service on our first night though when I enquired about a salad with some Chicken to be added to it. As I was on a low calorie diet the choices were minimal and a side salad (essentially a Small plate of green leaves) would have been suffice with a protein in it. The chef was not overly accommodating and said the only option was to purchase the chicken main and put the chicken with the salad. This would have made for a $55 plus salad which was over the top. I was also concerned that the chef didn’t provide any alternatives. We chose to dine elsewhere the next night. Reception wasn’t overly welcoming to a late check out when I enquired. They said they would come back to me but never did.
