Great hotel who is a little like myself. Old and creaky but still has soul and a beating heart. Staff were amazing and room adequately suited for my needs. Restaurant experience was really great. New spring menu didn't disappointment. Breakfast buffet was also good. Plentiful and good coffee despite machine only.

It was a nice location, comfortable beds and nice stay but a couple of issues I didn’t anticipate from a peppers property. 1) for some reason our room was changed when we arrived and that made issues with breakfast the next morning 2) I had a 3 night stay and still awaiting my gold membership welcome gift 3) the room wasn’t made up on one of the days even though we spent the day out of the property. The staff as always were very helpful but the little issues affect our assessment of the property.

Great accommodation, and beautiful setting etc, we were just pretty disappointed in the breakfast, it was actually quite poor in my opinion especially for the setting and expectation, in fact the breakfast changed our minds about having dinner in the restaurant that evening.

Nice comfortable country location with charming ambience. Alot of positive aspects ......but not 4.5 star accommodation. Simple things like no spoon for stirring your coffee/ tea in your room. Toilet cistern making noise refilling for long periods, no bathrobes in wardrobes, iron letting out black particles, sirloin steak cooked medium instead of medium rare, no wifi connection from room.

The experience was at a nice location, elegant. However, I believe the rooms need to have more care to them. For the price your spending for a 5 star hotel, i would expect complimentary water, a tv that works, internet that works and a space that allows you to open windows because it was incredibly dusty. There was a built up dust on top of the lamps and once the curtains were moved it turned into a dust cloud. The team were great when asked for the bed to be separated into two. However, the air felt heavy due to the dust..

A lovely place to relax and be pampered. The facilities and gardens were beautiful and relaxing. Staff were always there to assist with a smile and could not do enough for us.
