Tried to book a play and stay, took 4 calls and then they had to call me back. Went to pay Bill at checkout and they didn’t have my dinner tab. Had to persist and come back later to settle account which was $151 in hotels favour. No thank you Came back to have a coffee after golf and unable to get any form of drink. Really what are your staff doing?

We visited the Manor to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and unfortunately the experience fell well below expectations. We first spent time in the games room for drinks and canapés while playing pool, but were disappointed to find the carpet in that area significantly worn and actually being held together with tape. This gave a very poor first impression for what should be a premium venue. Our birthday dinner in the Manor’s restaurant was where the real concerns began. We had a group of nine people, and several guests ordered steak, yet not a single person was asked how they would like their steak cooked. Even more disappointing, my wife — the birthday guest of honour — did not receive her meal at all. Despite raising this, the female waiter appeared to take offence and subsequently ignored our table for the remainder of the evening, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and undervalued as patrons. As Gold Accor members, we were also surprised and disappointed that we did not receive the complimentary drink vouchers we are entitled to on arrival. This added yet another layer of disappointment to what was already becoming a very poor customer experience. Adding to this, we spoke with the only other couple dining in the restaurant, who told us they had been served prawns costing $36 that they could not eat because they were green. Hearing this only reinforced our concerns about the service and food quality. Overall, what should have been a memorable and enjoyable birthday celebration turned into a series of letdowns, and we left extremely disappointed with the experience.
