Checkin was elongated due to lack of staff and multiple people checking in. The staff member was polite, but clearly disinterested. The room was nice, however, definitely needing a renovation - not worth the money spent. Sadly, the food choices are poor there now, Nouveau was such a great restaurant, as was Lily's. Thankfully a quick drive to eat elsewhere. I have stayed here multiple times over the past 20 years, it always feels like Fiji. The reception area was bright and obviously has been updated, the rooms definitely need the same attention. Still nice walking around the lagoon. The pool at night looks stunning. Was truly grateful for the upgrade, it meant more than you realise.

I am writing regarding our stay at the resort this weekend, which was unfortunately one of the most disappointing experiences we have had in the many years we have been visiting your property. My family and I have stayed at the resort numerous times over the past 15 years and have always enjoyed our visits. However, on this occasion, the quality of both the room and our overall experience fell well below expectations. The main issue was the sofa bed. It was extremely uncomfortable and felt as though metal components were protruding through the mattress into our backs. Throughout the night, different family members took turns sleeping on it to try and share the discomfort, but every one of us woke up with sore backs and had a very poor night's sleep. A holiday is supposed to be an opportunity to rest and recharge, yet we all returned home exhausted, underslept, and in pain. In addition to the sofa bed issue, it was clear that the condition of the room has deteriorated significantly compared with our previous stays. The bathroom hot water tap does not turn off properly, and there were visible holes in the ceiling. These maintenance issues gave the impression that the room was not being adequately maintained and did not reflect the standard we have come to expect from your resort. I would also like to acknowledge Marcel at the front desk, who was very understanding and professional when we raised our concerns. He kindly provided us with a $50 credit, which we appreciated. However, given the extent of the discomfort we experienced and the impact it had on our stay, we do not feel that this adequately reflects the inconvenience and poor experience we endured. As loyal guests who have returned to the resort many times over the last 15 years, we are extremely disappointed that this was our worst stay to date. We hope that you will review our feedback seriously and consider providing additional compensation in recognition of the issues encountered. We would appreciate the opportunity to hear how you intend to address both our concerns and the condition of the room to ensure future guests do not experience similar problems.
