All good except for the bathroom and lavatory each of which are "tired" i.e. desperately in need of upgrading. Room 125 1. Basin badly/unpleasantly stained and plug didn't work 2. Bath - shower lever missing its cover. Conclusion: will probably not return to Mercure Tours Nord

The staff was very professional, room perfectly clean however the sofa bed where our children slept seriously lacked comfort. Hopefully it was very young children and for one night but anymore than that would have spent a rough night. The restaurant also proposed excellent food.

Not at Mercure usual standards

Not good. It was the second time we stayed in the hotel during the last months and the experience was worst than previous one. Room too basic, no coffee machine, no shampoo, only 1 soap in a room for 4, no slippers available. On top of this even with the “no enter” signAl at the door, a cleaning lady entered in our room while we were sleeping waking up us and the kids. Completely lack of respect.

We arrived in time for a swim in the pool before dinner, followed by a very good shower in our room The restaurant was a pleasant temperature, and the tables well spaced. The choice and quality of the food and wine were excellent. We slept well in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was especially worthy of praise: a splendid range of choice, and the staff in attendance were assiduous about keeping everything topped up and also clearing and wiping tables promptly. A very high standard of service.

We have stayed many times at this hotel. While not the best Mercure in France, it’s fully up to standard - the rooms are large and well equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. This time a few things were disappointing. On checking in we were very surprised to be told we were no longer Silver status - we checked our account on-line and indeed we were still Silver! This was put right at the desk, but it shouldn’t happen and gives a bad impression. We ate in the restaurant. Based on previous experience, our expectations were not high, but we were dismayed to find that there was nothing on the ‘menu du jour’ that we wanted to eat. Tête de veau anybody? So we ordered from the more expensive à la carte, which was OK but hardly memorable. Then when we came down for breakfast there were many uncleared tables but none available for us. The staff quickly set a table for us, but it’s a small detail that again leaves a bad impression for an hotel with aspirations.

We were travelling from Pamplona heading to Calais. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and spoke English. The location is ideal for the motorway but not really suitable for visiting Tours without taking the car.

The location was very convenient. The room was bright and pleasant with plenty of space. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was definitely five star! But the best part, by far, was the hotel's staff. Always available, incredibly friendly, patient and very helpful. I am definitely staying there next time I am in Tours! It is far better than all the other hotels I have stayed at in the same area [and I have been to most of them because I travel to Tours to visit relatives every year!] My only complaint is that the shower, and also the tiled bathroom floors, are quite slippery and that can be a hazard, as we experienced first-hand. Having said that, I would definitely recommend Mercure!

I stayed in Tours for a business trip, good location on the north side of the city, not to far from Vouvray, if you like the wine. . convenient hotel for a business stay staff is friendly. I didn't use the restaurant or the breakfast in the morning.

From check in to checkout this hotel was flawless. The room was spotless and as requested was very quiet. With the air conditioning easy to adjust it was straightforward to create a nice ambient temperature. Both the dinner and breakfast were excellent. All of the staff we encountered were both friendly and professional. It is obvious that the hotel manager has high standards and knows how to motivate the staff to achieve excellence. Large comfortable and spotlessly clean bedroom, but unfortunately bottom pillows were very hard and were replaced with the spare pillows. Table d’hote dinner fine. Breakfast was OK but not as good as in other Mercure hotels we’ve stayed in. Staff polite and helpful. Would like non-slip floor in shower, as in some other Mercure hotels.

The moment you walk into the lobby you know you have chosen the right hotel for your stopover back to the UK. Friendly helpful check in, lovely quiet 'Privilege'(worth the extra) room. We were given a complementary drink in the bar before dinner, the dinner was in a small dining area where we were served probably one of the best stopover meals ever, by friendly helpful staff. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Recommended

Great hotel on the main North/South routes in France. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was great and very comfortable with king size bed, settee, and good size shower room. Everything was very clean. There was a good choice of food in the restaurant, and the quality was good. Check in/out was very efficient, and value for money was very good.

Cost of two Tea Bags

We requested two tea bags to make tea in our room. The Hotel only supplied fruit tea bags. We were charged 7.40 euros. We complained on checkout, but were told if we didn`t like it we should write to Accor Hotels I have written and complained but we have not received a reply.

On arrival greeted warmly and efficiently by staff on desk. The lift to the 3rd floor adjacent to entrance hall which we took to our Mercure Privilege room. On entering, the room is spacious but drab looking, à Nespresso coffee machine and kettle available to use but disappointed to see only one capsule and had to ask for more so each of us could have coffee. The complimentary bar had two bottles of water, two cans of coke and one bottle of orange juice. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. We eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening. The staff were attentive and polite. The food was of a reasonable standard and was enjoyed. I thought the bed and pillows were comfortable but my husband didn't think so and woke with back ache. We did not have breakfast. Check out was quick and efficient.
