As soon as as I arrived at the Chambery Mercure hotel I was made to feel welcome. The receptionist explained everything to me, including where the breakfast room was and at what time breakfast was served. She also said that if I had any further questions not to hesitate to ask. The hotel is an excellent position, right opposite the railway station and a short walk into the town centre. The breakfast was excellent and on two evenings I had dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. There was a good choice of meals and the ones I chose were very appetising. The room had excellent facilities and I really appreciated the bottle of water in the fridge( I was there during a heatwave), the kettle with tea/coffee and an in room safe.
