I received too many unnecessary emails after the booking to say that I was welcome and to make the check in before the arrival and to confirm the arrival time that was at 3 pm. However when I arrived the receptionist said they didn’t have a room ready for 4 nights and would have to change room for the last night. I expressed my frustration but the receptionist was first passive aggressive and then quite rude. It was not a proper welcoming moment as I was expecting. Then I did my luggage after the third night but they said the problem was solved. They should have informed me before. Apart from that, the room was clean and comfortable, but a little more gentleness would have been appreciated: all my clothes were always neatly arranged by me before leaving the room, apart for pajama, a sweater and a scarf, which I would later found moved around and crumpled up together.

The receptionist explained that we are currently in the process of replacing beds in several rooms, and unfortunately the rooms with the new bedding were not yet ready upon your arrival. We would also like to clarify that at no point were you asked to change rooms during your stay. We simply informed you that it might be necessary to temporarily arrange and store your belongings so that our technicians could replace the bed in your room. We understand that this situation may have caused frustration after your journey, and we regret that the communication did not feel as smooth and welcoming as it should have been. We also sincerely apologize if you felt uncomfortable with the handling of your personal belongings during housekeeping service. Your comments have been shared with the relevant teams to ensure greater care and attention moving forward. Good location opposite the train station, lots of restaurants in easy walking distance and perfect if you want to explore the old town. Hotel clean and comfortable. Staff lovely. We didn’t have breakfast as we had an early appointment to attend but there is a lovely separate dining area.
