I could give a higher rating. Check it was a bit slow but went all well. Checked in by friendly receptionist. Why I give it 2rating. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed as you don’t operate over weekends. The restaurant at Ibis we could’ve used but the menu wasn’t what we wanted. So we ordered Uber eats of which took forever to arrive. After arriving with kids hungry and we sitting at the bar/foyer area. Thought let the kids eat. Than this rude security walks its not allowed its not possible. Ok no explanation just rude. So closed up the food, behind us were group of people who had their uber eats take aways. The one guy said they just had theirs so just eat so I said let me not irritate this rude security. I asked the barman he just said sorry Eventually found the duty manager if it was was her excuse because u have a restaurant we cant eat there. Felt like been treated like a dog. At least he could’ve explain in a more decent and friendlier way Absolutely horrible will never use your hotel again

The location of the hotel is ideal, with easy access to transport and nearby attractions. The staff at reception were polite and supportive, and I must particularly appreciate the cleaning staff — they did an excellent job throughout my stay. However, the overall condition of the property needs serious attention. The carpets are quite old and visibly dirty, which affects the overall cleanliness impression. The biggest issue, though, was the air conditioning. It doesn’t actually cool — it only circulates air like a fan. Every night after around 1:30–2:00 AM, the system would completely switch off, and the room would get uncomfortably warm very quickly. When I tried to call reception at night, none of the room service or reception lines worked. I had to use my mobile to call the hotel’s main number. When I reported this issue in person the next evening, the gentleman at reception informed me that the system only provides air via ducts and does not include cooling. His advice was simply to “open the window,” which is definitely not what you expect from a Novotel property. I strongly recommend that Accor conduct proper asset and system audits at this location. Air conditioning should be standard and functional — especially when compared to other international chains like Marriott, where room comfort is consistently ensured. Overall, a disappointing experience despite the excellent staff efforts.
