I booked the Novotel for the IM 70.3 Versailles. It was a great choice. Very welcoming staff even at midnight. I had connecting rooms booked for the whole family and the rooms were both spacious located at the back of the hotel which was great. The breakfast team adapted also the opening hours to allow the athlete to have breakfast on race day! very much appreciated. The reception staff was very kind. Keep the level of service. I will recommand this hotel.

The hotel is exceptionally well located for visiting Versailles and its many points of interest. The preparation of the room was unsatisfactory. I found myself in the shower and discovered that the bath gel container was empty, leaving me with no choice other than washing with hair shampoo. After preparing coffee, I discovered that there was neither a spoon nor a stir stick to finish the preparation. Not all hotels provide lotion, including Chateau Novotel. Lastly, a shoe horn would have a been a tremendous help in easily putting on my shoes. The bed was quite comfortable. Satisfactory for a single night.

We were most impressed with the hotel staffs, always smiling. The check-in lady even remembered our room number the next day. The available cold water was a nice touch. The check-in lady also explained the situation with 3 train stations in Versailles, very helpful.

Bed bugs / Shower issue & poor breakfast

We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations and that you experienced difficulties with the bed, the shower and the breakfast. Regarding the bed bugs you mentioned, we would like to reassure you that the room was inspected in accordance with our bed bug prevention procedures, and no bed bugs have been found to date. We nevertheless take your report seriously. We also sincerely apologize if the quality of our breakfast did not suit your expectations, and we are sorry that you encountered an issue with the shower. Please note that our reception is available 24 hours a day, and our team is always available to assist our guests with any technical issue or difficulty during their stay. Regarding the taxi journey, we had explained the usual journey time at the time of booking. Following your experience, we contacted the taxi company several times by phone and email to assist you. The taxi company’s manager explained that the unusually long journey was caused by a motorway closure, which required the driver to take a detour, extending the journey to around one hour instead of the usual 20 to 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this was beyond our control. Our role is to act as an intermediary between the taxi company and our guests, and we cannot be held responsible for circumstances affecting the journey itself. The room was ok, we did have to make up our own sofa bed for our daughter which i would have expected to be prepared for us. The restaurant was not good. Staff were rude and food poor. 3 out of 6 of our party were then ill thr next day.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Its location was very convenient, and the check-in process was efficient and straightforward. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, and the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and professional. The only issue I encountered was a broken soap dispenser in the bathroom. As there was another dispenser available in the shower, I did not report the issue during my stay and used the alternative provided. I mentioned the broken dispenser at check-out and was informed that, had I reported it at the time, the hotel's in-house service team would have been able to resolve the issue promptly. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would be happy to stay at the hotel again.
